| In the randomest of moments, Aylee usually started remembering the most embarrassing moments she had ever had or done in her life. When this happened, she either 1) went to sleep, to be later awakened by her nightmares 2) made funny faces and thought, Oh, well, what can I do? 3) read a book. That day, she chose the third option, to read a book. Which she did often. She picked one of her favourite muggle books, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King which she loved and will love forever. It was the last book in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and it usually made her cry a bit when the story ended. And she had read the trilogy over five times. To her family, it was probably a bit normal to find Aylee in her room crying over a book.
Luckily, there weren't much people in the common room so her favourite armchair by the fireplace was free. Other students were outside playing in the snow or probably in the library. So she found herself reading in quiet, in front of the warm fire which illuminated her page. She was just at the part where Pippin and Gandalf entered Gondor when she heard someone's footsteps behind her. Aylee turned around as quick as a flash to see who it was. | |
