The plant has a magical ability to constrict its surroundings.

2. How does it look? Describe it's features. {3}
It has a mass of soft, springy tendrils and vines.

3. What happens when you are near this plant? {2}
When you are near this plant, it starts binding your arms and legs and then choking you.

4. How do you react if you are caught by this plant? {2}
Your first reaction would be to struggle, but that only makes the plant's grip get tighter.

5. What are the two ways of getting away from the Devil's Snare? {2}
One way is to stop struggling until the plant senses no more tension. Another way is to make a flame spell such as the bluebell flames.

Roleplay:

She was walking through the dark forest when suddenly something tugged at her leg. Rebecca reached down to touch it and felt some soft rope. Another 'rope' suddenly started binding her other leg. Confused, the girl tried to walk away as calmly as possible but this thing kept tugging. Sighing calmly, she bent down to try and pull off the strange rope but it still wouldn't budge. Confused as ever, Rebecca took out her wand and muttered, "Lumos!" She froze as she recognized the vine which was moving up to her left arm.

It was the Devil’s Snare. Rebecca remembered learning about the plant in Herbology. How do I get it to let go? She kept wondering. She needed to make a plan or she would be dead. Trying to remember, Rebecca suddenly thought of one of the ways. Keep calm. Concentrating, Rebecca pointed her wand at the tendrils and vines and exclaimed, “Lumos Solem!” Whoever had told her that trick, she thanked the person quietly as the vines start to slip off and move away. Smiling, the Gryffindor girl was able to keep moving.
