How Rude (Open) Empty
PostSubject: How Rude (Open)   How Rude (Open) EmptyMon Apr 06, 2015 6:32 am

After Lena had been sorted into a house whose name she couldn't pronounce, she had found that the Durmstrang ship wasn't all that bad. It was gigantic. From the muggle eye on the outside, she suspected it looked like any normal ship, but on the inside, it held a whole new different world. A world that she still couldn't believe that she belonged too even though she was born a pureblood. For her whole life, Lena had been rebellious in the thought of using magic because she always wanted to gain the attention. But now, being in a place that was all about magic, and the fact that she was learning how to control it instead of making windows explode, made her change her mind. Lena smiled to herself. This was a whole new experience. She honestly couldn't wait until Heidi could come. Unless, Heidi was unfortunate and was a squib. She hoped that Heidi would be in the same house as her. She wanted to get closer to her sister now that she felt like she understood her mother a little bit better. But just a little bit. She wouldn't admit that out loud of course.

Lena would still be the same stubborn girl she was when she returned home, just a little bit more knowledgeable about her families past, and more excited about her future. Lena adjusted her blond wig. The thing was a pain, and she honestly didn't know why she wore it, but she guessed it was to prove a statement. What statement? She would find out when she decided not to wear it and when her family became more accepting of her. She smiled and started to skip to the beat of a song she remembered hearing a long time ago. She forgot the words, but remembered the melody was gorgeous. Maybe when she was bored, she would spend some time looking for the song. But maybe not. Lena was lazy. She held her wand. The delightful little piece of wood that held so much power it was almost over whelming. She wanted to practice her homework, but she was almost scared of blowing up the entire ship to smithereens (it had happened before). She wanted to believe that she could control it, but with what had happened in the past, she wasn't sure that she could.

Today, Lena wore her blond wig, and since it was a Saturday, she got the privilege to dress out of her uniform. Being told what to wear reminded Lena of being at home where there were more strict rules. She hated rules. She tried not to break them here, but some of them were ridiculous. For example the uniforms. So the only time she wore them, were in class, and when she absolutely HAD too. Otherwise, she was experimenting with muggle attire which was extremely frowned upon in her home. She hadn't been commented on it here, so she didn't know how other people felt about it. Today she decided to be lazy and just wear an over sized purple shirt and black leggings with a pair of black boots. It was comfy and there was nothing Lena liked more than being comfy.

Lena was in her hard core thinking mode and not paying attention to were she was going. She didn't know how many times she had turned, or even if she was on the ship. Looking around she realized quickly that she was. She smiled in reassurance. She decided it was time to go back to the common room and that she had done enough exploring for one day. But when she turned around completely, she realized she had collided with another human life form. What was this? Did they not realize that she was totally and completely accident prone? Did they even care that she was standing right in the middle of the hallway and completely lost? How rude of them. Lena adjusted herself and prepared to attack them. Well, not physically of course. She was a pacifist. But she would make them cry so hard they would probably go crying to their mummy's. And that was a promise.

Martha stumbled back when she bumped into what appeared to be a first year. "Watch where you're going," she snapped in English, her southern accent prominent. The girl appeared to be wearing a wig, because no hair came that color naturally. Her frustration was even more prominent from the recent letter from her grandparents further describing the slow recovery of her grandfather. Of course the bastard couldn't die just yet. Why ever could her life be simple? She sighed heavily and ran a hand through her hair. Thank God the twerp hadn't been carrying any food, or Martha might have thrown a fit. She was wearing her favorite sweater with leather-and-lace leggings and blue pumps. The necklace was one she'd managed to filch from her grandmother's jewelry shortly before they'd left. All in all, she was rather fond of the whole ensemble.

As a rule, though, she tried to be at least civil to the younger years since they still had potential for greatness and she was loathe to waste any chance she might have at improving her situation. She ran a hand over her face for dramatic effect and sighed once again, "Sorry," she stated in Norwegian. "Rough day, and I barely got any sleep last night. Martha-Louise Ford, Year five."

Oliver was, for lack of a better word, bored. This was one of the few times when Oliver was completely at a loss as to what he could do for fun. He'd found most people at Durmstrang to be....not so pleasant. In general. They were a thousand little Ariadnes here, and lots of Hunters. And just a few Olivers. And by few, it was really just like two or three aside from him. What bothered Oliver the most was that the younger students were bossy, uptight and overbearing, and they were really only eleven or twelve years old. He thought back on the first Norwegian Culture meeting, and how the boy with the brown hair had simply been trying to lighten the mood and make a joke, but then the little students decided that it would be better to make fun of the guy instead, giving him nicknames and acting as if he were stupid. Oliver didn't get it. Were the younger ones just....spoiled? Because, really, in Oliver's mind, the guy had done nothing wrong. Grocery shopping was actually a good topic, or so Oliver thought.

He was caught up on how mean the kids were, because Hogwarts kids weren't that way, at least not all of them. Sure, there were always some snobby ones, but most of the Hogwarts population was chill enough to make good people. This was the first time Oliver questioned his decision to come to such a ruthless school. His laughs and puns and nature-loving ways were often not welcome, and besides, as much as he hated to say it, he missed his brother terribly. Terribly. So, he wandered around the halls, without a destination, trying to come to terms that this was not what he'd expected, when he heard a familiar voice. It was Martha-Louise. Ah, that girl, such a mystery! Oliver wasn't even sure if she liked hanging around him, or if she was just lonely, and part of him wanted her friendship to be true but at the same time he didn't want it because he was often left speechless by little snips of comments he often heard about her (and every other student at Durmstrang). One similarity between Durmstrang and Hogwarts: Gossip didn't leave stones unturned. Everyone was game when it came to lies and jealousy.

Walking over to where he'd heard her voice coming from, Oliver noticed she was snapping at a young girl. He'd heard Martha-Louise was rude, which he'd never believed until now, because the annoyance in her face was clarely visible to him. However, the belief suddenly dissintegrated when she explained her lack of sleep and bad luck for the day. Grinning, because he knew Martha-Louise could never be what people said she was, he walked over to the two girls.[color=white "Martha-Louise!"[/color] He greeted with a wave as he approached them, and before continuing to say hi to his friend, Oliver turned to the young girl. She was so cute! Like a doll! Like the kind of girl he wouldn't mind having as a baby sister! Oliver just hoped she wasn't a brat like everyone else seemed to be. "Hello!" he bowed playfully, "I'm Oliver, fifth year, like her." He nodded towards Martha-Louise, "Awesome hair, by the way!" he complimented the girl, because how and when was platinum hair not amazong? Oliver should just call Victoria and ask her to dye his hair that platinum shade.

How Rude (Open) Empty
PostSubject: Re: How Rude (Open)   How Rude (Open) EmptyWed Apr 08, 2015 1:16 am

Lena was about to snap back at the girl, when an older boy, around the same year as the girl came up to them. They seemed to know each other. It was like the boy knew that Lena was the most beautiful and talented in all the land, and decided to bow. She smiled, but then quickly wondered why the other girl who's name she had already forgotten wasn't bowing. She pointed the girl, "You didn't bow. You should be smart like this peasant and bow to me" Lena curtsied to Oliver. She said, "My name is Lena. Lena Elizabeth Feller. It is very nice to meet you Oliver. Unlike you peasant." She pointed to the blond girl. If she didn't bow soon, Lena was going to loose it. She smiled pleasantly. She would give the girl one more chance. One more chance to prove herself to the royal court.

Lena loved playing pretend. Living at her grandmother's house, Lena was very lonely. Even though she despised her sister Heidi, she missed doing all the things they did when they were really young since they were only two years apart. She would play the part of the queen, and she would make Heidi be the princesses. It was really a fun game, though Heidi didn't really care for it as she claimed she was being bossed around the entire time. But that was the fun of the game. Lena loved being the ruler, and hated being told what to do. There was one time when Heidi cried to their mother because she was tired of playing the princess an wanted to swap roles. Lena thought that was the moment to throw one of her famous tantrums. She screamed and cried and banged her fists against the floor. She had even broken a finger from banging it against the wooden floor so hard. Lena was spoiled, and she knew it.

At that moment, Lena snapped. Because the girl wasn't bowing like Oliver, Lena started screaming really loud. She then got on the floor and started wailing around like a child. During her screaming and wailing, Lena remembered that day she had thrown her tantrum. It was the day she was sent away to live with her grandparents. The day she was abandoned. She then wondered, if they would abandon her like her parents had. But Lena loved nothing more than to get what she wanted. And making this girl bow to her was one thing that she wanted at that very moment. She was after all not only a princess, but a Queen, and they were her peasants.
