| Did it count as Study Group if she was the only one in a room, studying by herself? Technically, she was going to use one of the empty classrooms that Study Groups tended to happen in. So it could do. But to be honest, Lyra didn't really give a shit. She just wanted something to do, and the library had become less and less quiet and peaceful. The common room had never been peaceful, so this was the best option. She had a Transfiguration essay to write and a little bit of spontaneous extra studying never hurt anyone. Anyway, it was almost the end of term. Next year was her OWL year. Some teachers had already started talking about exams. So she was going to be actually prepared. And get amazing marks.
When she got to the classroom, she couldn't get the door to close behind her. It just wouldn't close. And that made the room look unfortunately welcoming and open. And let in all the noise from outside. She'd just have to deal with it, she supposed. She got straight to the essay, getting out her quill, ink and parchment. Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration. Fun. But she was good at Transfiguration - this shouldn't be too difficult.
As she'd predicted, after a few minutes she was a good way into the essay. And she was in the zone. Which was why it was so irritating when she saw some random child walk into the room. First-years. Lyra hated them with a passion.

| Saryana was annoyed. First from all the Gryffindor people in the common room. Or everywhere, really. They never seemed to shut up and also didnt seem to think of it polite to actually do something such. Which made her go into the library. But when she arrived at the spot she usually read and such(because it was the only quiet spot), she noticed it had a new portrait frame. Meaning that her 'lovely' knight named sir Cadagon would be coming soon. By now the girl was positive that he was crazy. That or he was always drunk. The more annoying part is that he still hadn't forgiven her fully from calling him barbaric, yet still wanted to hang out.
On all of those accounts, she decided to find some empty classroom or such. That would be best. So she walked down to where Study Groups usually were held. He girl herself wouldn't join something such usually, plus she knew most things for now. So she searched for some door that hadn't been closed - almost a sure sign no one was in- and walked in. But man, there was someone in. A girl. And Saryana knew her name is Lyra VanDerberg or some other weird last name. She didn't at all seem happy to see her come in. From what Saryana had heard, the girl wasn't really fond of first years. Or anyone, maybe. But instead of walking out with some pity sorry or such, she didn't. The girl had too much pride in herself for such a thing. Some told her that was her fatal flaw.
"You know, just because I'm a first year doesn't mean you can treat all of us such! It isn't our fault we are born after you guys, after all" she said, still keeping her calm. Than she walked towards her and looked at what she was writing. Gamp's Law of Elementary Transfiguration. She knew about it! That surely made her happy. But instead of saying something, she just walked past her and sat down at another free table(which were basically everywhere) and took out to finish her Potions homework, probably the only one she hadn't done till now.
