Mistakes Have Consequences (Evan!)

Naturally, Agnes was outside by the Middle Courtyard since the weather was absolutely wonderful. It was chill, but not cold. There was wind, but not a storm. It was one of those beautiful autumn days Agnes loved so much. She held her wand tightly, her fingers curled and her knuckles almost white, as she prepared to cast a Transfiguration spell. She was going to turn herself into a cat. With her wand held above her head, she tried to imagine herself as a cat, tried to channel her inner feline or something like that. Agnes liked cats, she liked them a lot, and she figured a cat would be a good animal to be since she could slide in through small doors and listen in to interesting conversations. She was trying to imagine herself as a silver cat with dark stripes, The closest she had gotten to was getting her skin to turn a shade tanner, so nothing very important or successful. Sighing, she lowered her wand and looked around for her textbook.

Agnes was not a very organized girl, so her bag was full of stuff she didn't need. Eyeing her bag, she couldn't remember if she had brought her Transfiguration textbook or if she had left it in her dormitory, probably under the bed. No, she had to have it with her, she had the class after lunch and she was too lazy to have to go back to the Gryffindor Tower to get it. Bending down to check her bag, Agnes was completely unaware of the gray cat tail she was now sporting, curling and twirling, her Transfiguration skills way better than she had thought.

Sparkle was doing her everyday castle patrolling, since it was the thing all cats always tended to do. And her patrol route was really long, most other cats could die of envy, if their brains were developed enough to feel envy, of course. Sparkle, as a professional wizard familiar of a special familiar cat breed, was capable of such emotions. But she was more of an exception in the cats' world. Of course, her patrol route included the Middle Courtyard, and it was actually one of her favorite parts.

Sparkle used to spend lots of time in the Ravenclaw Tower during Evan's first years, but now, when most of the students knew her, and most of the professors turned a blind eye to the grey tabby cat walking around the castle, she can move much more freely. Suddenly, Sparkle noticed a big grey cat's tail. The patrol duty was important, but instincts were stronger. Tails were for playing. This particular one seemed to belong to a student, but who cared? No cat could have ignored this tempting magnificent tail.

So Sparkle started her pounce preparations: she hid, ducked, and began to move her body left and right, going for a perfect aim. It was like a trip to the times she was a kitten: grey mother's tail and stuff. This tail play totally worth it, no matter how bad consequences could be.

Middle Courtyard was a good place to spend some free time for Evan, who had lots it due to his NEWT classes schedule. Fresh air and lots of young students who he could enlist in the Amazing Secret Society, his new project and, probably, his ticket to a batter life in the future. He liked the combination of a nice chilly wind and potential recruits.

But before Evan could demonstrate his HeadBoy badge to masses and make some glorious speeches, his attention was caught by a cat-girl. A girl with a cat tail, to be more precise. Evan immediately thought that creating a tail like this would be a great way to entertain his cat, Sparkle. And as soon as he got this idea, he actually saw Sparkle, who was ready to pounce on the cat-girl, which could end in screams and apologies. It could also end in awwwws and tenderness, but Evan had always thought about the worst case scenario.

Evan found it pretty logical to somehow try to stop Sparkle from playing with the tail. Using magic against his own cat could ruin the sacred friendship familiar bond between him and Sparkle, so Evan decided just to pick the cat up before she did any harm. Unfortunately, the cat was about to pounce, so Evan had to act quickly. He leaped forward, trying to catch her, but stumbled, made several steps, and placed both of his hands on cat-girl's backside in his instinctive search for support. Thanks to the girl, Evan didn't fall down, but the awkwardness of the situation made him regret his reckless fight against the gravity force. He'd better just fallen.

A second had passed before Evan regained control over his body and removed his hands from girl's backside. Now it was time to make an excuse. "I'm sorry, but my little friend finds some aspects of your body worth playing with," Evan said, trying to avoid words like "tail" and "familiar cat". He hadn't seen this girl before, after all. What if she was ashamed of having a tail? What if she found the idea of having a feline pet offensive, since she's part cat herself? Anyway, this excuse was perfect: no direct words like "cat" or "tail", moreover, Sparkle is referred to as a "friend", not a "pet". The least offensive excuse ever.

Okay, well her textbook certainly wasn't in her bag. "I should probably clean this thing. It's disgusting." she muttered to herself as she pulled out a box of Bertie Bott's already melted and turned into gooey and colorful paste. There were also some hair pins at the very bottom, and some sickles she had forgotten about. Agnes almost gagged, how could she hoard all of this trash? She was about to give up looking through her bag, because the textbook obviously was not in it and she was wasting time and making herself feel nauseous by simply thinking of all the things she did carry. However, her eyes grew wide and her body tenses...because someone had touched her. And it wasn't a nice touch like a hug or a handshake. Nor was it a mean touch like a punch or a slap. It was a confusing touch.

Her mother, having sucked at explaining Ansel how children came to be, had explained everything to Agnes with silly methods. The Nice Touch, the Mean Touch, and the Confusing Touch. Obviously, there was nothing confusing about this touch, but essentially that was was it was. Zeus and Poseidon and Hades better help the poor soul who dared touch her without her permission. Whoever this idiot had enough guts, or stupidity, to use both hands instead of just one. And it wasn't sly either. Agnes stood up and spun around, her cheeks growing red with anger and embarrassment.

She was facing a boy, big surprise, with light brown hair and chubby cheeks. He looked awfully British. Before Agnes could decide if he looked guilty or not, he apologized. Using all the wrong words. His little friend. Uh-huh. She definitely knew what that meant. Well, SCREW HIM. "Your little friend?! Aspects of my body?!" Taken over by the major offense this guy had caused, she raised her knee, quickly deciding to aim to his left...thing. And then she kneed him. Just like she'd learn from her father, she showed him that messing with her would end in injury. But she really had to stop injuring people's private parts. This was the second time she'd done it, counting the incident on the train. Raising her voice, she said "Listen to me, you dickweed. I did not want to be touched, I did not give you permission to touch me that way. Go find a desperate girl for your little friend to play with!". Stupid boy, he was probably one of those sexist ignorant who thought they could do whatever they wanted.

Despite Evan used the least offensive words possible, the girl was enraged. She turned around to face the clumsy cat owned and mocked his apology. That was rude, and Evan would have definitely pointed it out if he wasn't cruelly hit in one of the most vulnerable parts of his body. "Augh!" That was unexpected. And mean. Evan doubled up and fell on the ground, trying not to let out any more sounds. But, despite his age and manliness, he moaned quietly. Moans had always worked well for Evan, they seemed to reduce pain every time. So now, thanks to them, he was concentrated enough to understand what the girl told him. Or, at least, partly understand.

It seemed like the cat-girl wanted him to find another girl for Sparkle to play with. Evan would have, of course, explained the situation to the girl, but the pain in his crotch prevented him from speaking distinctly. Evan examine the girl: no robes, no tie, unfamiliar face. His guess was that this violent lady was a Hufflepuff, since Evan had never paid attention to them and could not remember any faces. So when the ability to talk was regained by Evan, he muttered, "You would better stay in your kitchen, girl." This phrase was kinda universal, because even if someone was not a Hufflepuff, it can be considered as an insult anyway, due to the poor reputation of "we take everyone who has no qualities to satisfy others' requirements" House. Evan had no idea why he chose to use insult instead of explanation and trying to make up. Probably it was his vengeful nature or a pain shock.

Agnes brushed a strand of her long hair that had apparently found its way to her mouth in the moment she decided to injure this boy. She was done with all these British jerks thinking they were better because they were men! So sexist! Macho men and all that crap Agnes didn't believe in. She watched as he fell to the ground, probably suffering in pain and wishing he'd never touched her. She was done with British men. Absolutely done. And screw every other girl who melted at the sound of their so-call gorgeous accents. This boy, laying on the ground, did not sound attractive in the least. Well, he wasn't really speaking.

In fact, he looked kind of okay for a British one, but he was still a jerk. In fact, had Agnes met him in a normal situation, she might have found him attractive. But then he did speak. And Agnes completely forgot about the accent and all and focused entirely on what he had said. The kitchen! The kitchen, for crying out loud! Indignant, her mouth fell and her eyes grew wide. How could he-? What?! What a sexist poop! To shocked to even speak, Agnes slapped his arm like she did with Ansel, which wasn't much of an injury-inducing offense. It probably looked like she was a little girl trying to fight a grown boy or something, but she had never been told such a thing! Agnes was completely lost! She couldn't even remember any spells!!! Disappointed in herself, and in the lack of morals in the school, she turned to leave.

Turning back to look at him for a second, she said "Screw you, you British scoundrel!" There. She'd insulted him too. They were even. Now she could go back to the Commom Room. Wait, no. Not yet. She ran back quickly to grab her bag and her wand, which she had someone left on the ground, and slipped the strap on her shoulder, leaving the ignorant slut behind.

Karma was a bitch. And since Karma really couldn't make Hunter's life any worse at this point, he was glad to see that it had decided to go after somebody else - most particularly, train bitch. Even in his terrible mood, Hunter couldn't help the smirk on his face as he leaned against the archway into the middle courtyard, watching the tail that she'd given herself swing back and forth. He'd somehow managed to have perfect timing, and had reached the courtyard just as she sprouted the tail, and couldn't help himself from watching on, because she clearly didn't realize that she'd done it.

But then, just as Hunter had been about to leave - because watching someone with an unfortunate cat tail was only interesting for so long - it got better. Because Evan Williams showed up - and Karma struck again! Hunter's smirk grew into a full-fledged grin as the git tripped and grabbed onto Train Bitch's ass to catch himself. This will be good. Now he had to stay - because Agnes the Bitch was definitely not going to react well to that. She was definitely going to flip out at him, judging by the way she'd reacted to Hunter. But the way she reacted, event though Hunter had experienced it himself, surprised him.

Hunter winced, his grin falling completely, as Agnes kneed Evan in the exact same way that she'd done to Hunter. Evan went down instantly, a few angry words were exchanged, and then she was gone. And then, Hunter did something that he never thought he would do. After a moment of hesitation, Hunter left where he was standing and walked over to Evan. Reaching out, Hunter's hand grasped Evan's in a very firm, manly way and he helped heave him to his feet. "Hey, man, you okay?" He wouldn't have done it, but of the two, Hunter would consider Agnes the greater enemy. A force of evil that needed to be stopped. And then, overcome by a sense of manly brotherhood, Hunter's other arm raised, embracing his fellow brethren for the briefest of moments before patting his back and letting go. Whoa. Had that even really just happened? Shaking it off, Hunter shouldered his bag and looked around, wondering if anyone had seen it. "Believe me, I know how it feels."
