Phineas: He's Not Afraid of Anything

A THREAD FROM PHIN'S HOME:

Phin couldn't believe this. He had gotten an actual letter from home. And not just any person from home, his FATHER. The one person Phin thought he'd never hear from again. It basically said that he apologizes for everything, and wants to start over. Phin talked to Chad about it, and Chad thought that if he could work it out, he could go home, but to write if he needed to be picked up.

Phin could tell that Chad was worried about him, and that made things a little better. As the train pulled up from the station, Phin saw his mum AND dad on the platform. He smiled a little bit, as the letter was real, and not some scam to try and get him home to work things out. He was going home, and working things out would be part of the deal, but it wasn't his mother pretending to be his dad.

He stepped off the train and hugged his parents. His dad actually hugged him back to and almost started crying with apologies from everything that happened. He said that he had a problem with drinking, but was working on that. They arrived home in no time, and Phin went straight up to his room to unpack. He put a picture of him and Chad on his night stand, and smiled again. He couldn't believe he was actually home. A place he never thought he would be again.

Phin went downstairs, and sat next to his parents in the kitchen as they where preparing dinner. Phin's dad talked about work, and then said that he had plans to go out. His mother tried to persuade him to stay, but it was no use. Phin stayed up all night waiting for his dad but he never returned home.

It was three nights later when he finally came home. His mother questioned his dad, but it was no use. Phin tried to get in and protect her, but received another black eye, and several broken ribs in the process. His mother was beaten pretty badly, and took the worst of it. That night, he wrote to Chad and told him he needed to be collected NOW. It was at that moment that he realized that his home wasn't his real home, and his parents weren't his real parents. Yes, they needed help, but Phin wasn't about to get in the middle of it. It could've been so much worse.
