Landry smiled finally content with where he was in his life at that very moment. He was now teaching at Hogwarts. And he was teaching his favorite subject when he was at Salem. Life was good. He felt his decision to pack up and leave Zoey was the greatest idea he had ever had. He felt a tiny bit bad, but not so much. Mostly he felt good about his decision. Today was his first lesson. He was comfortable with his teaching skills, and had a perfect lesson planned. It was right around lunch time, and he imagined most students wod be starving by now. He knew he was. But he wanted to teach them something before he had actually started his "lesson" he had planned.
Before every lesson, he decided that he would have the class solve a riddle to get their minds working, so he could see who had one and who didn't. He laughed at the board when he saw the riddle he had picked out. He had heard that the RAVENCLAWS where the "smart ones" and he guessed that even they wouldn't be able to figure it out. He had written:
"If you’ve got it you can’t share it, and if you’ve shared it you haven’t got it. What am I?"
The answer was simple really, and it would be hilarious if none of the kids got it. He loved making people look like idiots. Especially those who where to be considered "smart". The answer of course, was a secret. And when students started arriving he laughed at their confused faces. One Ravenclaw girl was getting frustrated. He said, "the answer is a secret. Now for this lesson, we are going down to the kitchens to observe the house elves. And yes, you are allowed to have them make you some food if you want. I want you to observe their nature and I expect a 500 word essay on it due next class." Landry smiled as he stood up and started walking towards the door. The kids where still stumped because of the riddle and weren't moving. He rolled his eyes and said, " come on! We don't have all day" he saw them jump and grab their stuff. This was going to be fun.
