Here at Live the Magic, we have a wonderful staff, and are always happy to welcome others who wish to educate ready minds! If you would like to apply to be a professor, simply complete the application below and post it as a new thread in the jobs forum. Be sure to copy the code form of the application to avoid formatting issues. Please keep the following notes in mind when applying for a professor position:
- Professors are required to post one to two lessons per month.
- Professors may also apply to other jobs if they wish.
- Professors may give and deduct points from students.
- Professors may choose to assign homework at the end of class.
- Please ensure that information taught in lessons are generally true to cannon where possible.

What would Hogwarts be without it's signature four houses? And what would any house be without a head? At Hogwarts, the Head of House is a professor that has a responsibility to discipline and guide their house's students through their years at Hogwarts. The Head of House also spends time helping older students prepare for the future by organizing career advice sessions and advising them on future classes. Keep in mind that to qualify for Head of House, your character must have been a part of the house they are applying for when they attended Hogwarts. Also note that Head of House is not a paid position. First of all, thank you for your interest in applying to be an assistant to one of our wonderful professors. You should know that as a teacher's assistant, you are entitled to 20 galleons per month if the professor you are assisting agrees that you have been doing your job. You and the professor must work closely to post at least one thread per lesson in which you roleplay as working together on planning a lesson, helping with the material, etc.
