Family: Tomas O’Donnell is the oldest of five children in a fairly poor family. He met Annabelle “Belle” James, a girl from Dublin, while at college and five years later they were married, the next year parents to a baby girl, Sinead. Tomas is an engineer and Belle a teacher.
History: Sinead was born in Killarney, Ireland, as an only child for a lot of her life. She wasn’t spoilt but her parents were always fairly doting. She was very close with her extended family, mainly on her father’s side, all her uncles and aunts as well as her grandparents, who she is constantly bugging. When she’s not at school, she’s walking to her grandparents’ house because she insists that her mother is a terrible cook and she’ll be poisoned by the food she makes some day.
From a very young age, she was independent, and hated being told what to do. Even at two, she was very confident in her ability and was certain she didn’t need her mother or anyone else to help her with anything. Not much has changed since then. With her family, she’s always been quite loud and feels she can say whatever, but with other people, she’s much more reserved and cares enough about the opinion’s of others that she doesn’t go into much detail about her opinions on whale cruelty and why dolphins are better than humans.
She does a lot in her spare time, everything from animal protection society to art club at school, then just whatever she can fit in other than that. Sinead likes to think she has a fairly interesting, busy life for a ten year-old girl. Her baby brother was born when she was eight and she was delighted to have a sibling to share her awesomeness with, and she tries to spend lots of time with him too. A couple of months ago, she managed to levitate a teacup in the air and her aunt Aoife recognised the symptoms of her being a witch. She will attend Hogwarts next term.
Appearance: Sinead has long brown hair, brown eyes and quite tanned skin. She’s of about average height and weight for her age and considers herself to be pretty average in terms of looks. Her attire is pretty random - spending hours choosing an outfit is completely unnecessary, just like school, and she usually ends up in either stuff her mam has picked up for her or hand-me-downs from her relatives.
Personality: Sinead is kooky and has a lot of strange ideals and ways, but she is usually quiet about putting herself out there and sometimes finds herself hidden in the shadow of louder, bolder people. She's quite down to earth and very worldly in that she is independent and knows how to look after herself and is quite smart like that. However, when it comes to academic subjects and logic she is less interested and would rather be doing something which in her eyes is productive, like saving a small African village from disease or learning dolphin language, so she doesn’t always try her hardest in classes, but she is much more smart naturally than she gives herself credit for, and she reads a lot. She is quite artistic and likes music (she considers herself to be future Eurovision Song Contest winner) and art, although admittedly she isn’t the best at either. She excels when it comes to being creative and imaginative. Her imagination is pretty big, but it means sometimes she confuses fantasy with reality.
She really likes dolphins, painting, singing, gymnastics (which to her means handstands and the likes), spending time with her family, daydreaming and pajamas. And she doesn’t like school, her hair when it gets tangled and mad, scary movies, boys (ew cooties), car journeys, plane journeys and going to bed. Her ambitions are to win Eurovision for Ireland, learn dolphin language and do something huge and memorable which will have a good impact on the world. Sinead gets really annoyed when people tap and make weird distracting noises. She’s scared of germs and blood, stuff which is “gross” in her opinion, and she can’t stand seeing it.
