Study Time (closed)

Maya trudged down a corridor in search of an empty classroom, a conflict of emotions raging inside her head. Maya didn't know if what she was doing was the right thing to do. She badly needed to catch up on her school work, of which she had abandoned of late. She was so behind in some classes it had become a troubling worry, more so than she cared to show. Evan was a good candidate to help her catch up on her studies as he was hardly a professors' assistant for no reason. She had heard of the magic Evan had been preforming recently and Maya did have to admit that he was far more advanced than her, hence why he is in Ravenclaw she concluded. Maya had to swallow her pride when she plucked up the courage to ask him and she was grateful that he was giving up his lunch break to help her, but she wasn't in the mood to listen to a know it  all and watch him show off. She was stubborn and it was hard enough going to a Ravenclaw for help, never mind them bragging about their talents to her.

Maya entered the classroom and noted that it was empty, she checked her watch and began to wonder if she was in the right classroom. There were so many of them, she wasn't too sure she could recall which one Evan had said to meet in. Maya hoped that Kynan wouldn't get wind of the study group between herself and Evan. The last Maya had heard was that the pair still hated each other. Why couldn't they just get along? Maya asked herself, noting how much more convenient it would be. To be fair though, she still didn't know what to make of Evan, whether he was a nice misunderstood guy who found it hard to socialise or someone who had decided to just be out of sorts and snarky most of the time. Come to think of it he had been spending a lot more time with Jen, no way she'd be a good influence! Maya went and took a seat on top of a nearby desk, swinging her feet over the edge and twirling her wand in her hand, waiting for her new mentor to arrive.

Evan walked into the Great Hall, but instead of sitting at the Ravenclaw table and having a proper lunch he just grabbed a couple of sandwiches and a muffin and put them into his bag. Today he was going to teach his first Study Group lesson. He wasn't sure if Maya would come. It's probably a trick to keep me hungry and repay me for messing with her dearest Kynan. But I won't be hungry!

Evan was pleasantly surprised when he saw Maya in the classroom. "Good afternoon, Ms. Winchester," he greeted her formally. He was kinda teacher after all, and wanted to keep this attitude at least for ten minutes. "So, what are we going to start with? I would suggest Charms."

Maya looked up when the door opened and a small, brown haired boy entered. "Finally," Maya muttered as she hopped off desk and approached the Ravenclaw.

Maya remained silent, waiting for Evan to start the conversation, her mood becoming more and more sour with each passing moment. Miss. Winchester, did he just seriously call me Miss! Does he expect me to call him professor? Maya nearly laughed out loud at the absurdity of it, but she let it slide. She wanted the help after all. "Hey Mr. Williams" Maya replied as sweetly as possible, faking a smile to go along with it.

Charms? Boring! "Sure, why not?" Maya shrugged, they had to start somewhere, but he couldve picked a better subject. At least maybe she'll get a chance to attack him. "Can we start with offensive spells?"
