You would have thought the sounds in the halls were delightful, all the students happy to be back at Hogwarts for the start of another term, to Thaor it was the most annoying sound on the planet. He couldn't stand seeing all the mudbloods and blood traitors happily moving about Hogwarts, a school that was once great. He had half a mind to start offing them right then and there, but being a sitting duck in a pond full of geese would certainly get you noticed, especially if you tried to bunk one off. So he decided to leave the giggling girls and first years pushing their way through the halls alone. But it didn't mean he couldn't through his weight around. Thaor saw it as the opportunity to assert himself at the top of the food chain.

Something was different about today, perhaps someone slipped him a potion at breakfast, but the, normally, grouchy old man, was rather calm and collected today as he took the stroll to the Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom. It was actually more likely that he realized he can't be seen harassing students, not if he wanted to keep his post as Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor that is.

Thaor finally made it to his classroom, he had been here countless times during his schooling, but didn't remember the foul odor that seemed to be stuck in the room. He took out his wand and flicked it towards the door, sending the smell into the hallway. While he could have easily made it disappear all together, he was entitled to have some fun, wasn't he?

Thaor went into his office and began to prepare the first assignment for his students as he waited for them to come to class.
