Sylvia and Norman Cunningham Great Aunt Margaret (Only Child)(No other relatives)Sylvia and Norman met in their quiet little town of Frankfort, Missouri. Sylvia worked at the local Dairy Queen, and Norman was a frequent customer. Mainly because he fancied Sylvia, but it was also because of the ice cream. Mainly the ice cream. Norman didn't understand why Sylvia disappeared for a long period of time.
The other co-workers at the Dairy Queen claimed that she went to a boarding school. When Norman was 25, his mom died of a heart attack, and his father was never around. Sylvia grew up with an older woman named Martha, who ran the town's library. She died when Sylvia turned 17. Norman's mother was the closest thing Sylvia ever had to a mother, and it broke her heart. Sylvia's parents left her to Martha, and went to live with the hippie's.
They wanted a better life for Sylvia, that wasn't revolved around drugs. She is still in contact with her parents via Owl. Sylvia went to the Salem Institute for Witches after she had written to her mother asking for advice on what was happening to her. It was then when she received the letter from her parents telling her that she was a pureblood witch. Martha knew this secret as she was a half-blood as well, but didn't quiet know how to tell Sylvia about it.
Sylvia was sent to the Salem Institute for Witches when she was eleven. It was the summer of Norman's sophomore year of College, and Sylvia had finally graduated from Salem institute for Witches that Norman finally asked her out. Sylvia was a quiet girl, and not very outgoing, but said yes anyways, because of peer-pressure. Six months into the relationship, Norman and Sylvia made love. Two months later, Norman proposed, and they got married. Another nine months later, they gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Miranda.
When Sylvia noticed that Miranda started having witch-like experiences, she finally told Norman about being a witch herself. Norman was shocked at first, but then realized that it totally made since. Sylvia always had a knack for making magical things happen.
History:
Miranda was a rather happy child. She grew up loving fairy tales, and everything that was magical. When she was 8, she had stared at a dead rose for so long that it's petals suddenly grew back to life. When she was 10, she was playing at her house and throwing a ball at the wall, and the ball went a crossed the street. Being her lazy self, Miranda didn't want to go and get it. She simply stared at the ball, and it came to her at will.
When she was 11, she received her Salem letter like her mother had before her. She partook in flying, potions, and DADA, and pretty much everything she could take that was magical related. She grew to love Salem, and it brought her closer to her mother than she ever thought before. It strained her and her father's relationship, but they still got a long, and loved each other like a father and daughter should.
It was the summer before Miranda's sixth year that her life changed forever. Her parents went to a local gala and the car had swerved off the road. They were killed instantly. Miranda is now being sent to live with a great aunt that she has never heard of in London, England. She now has to go to a mysterious school called Hogwarts, and lie to her great aunt about it because she is her great Aunt on her father's side of the family.
Appearance:
Her hair is cut into a bob. She wears mostly muggle clothing, and on occasion she will wear a cloak to keep warm. She now has her mothers favorite purple cloak that she wears everywhere. She is short for her age, standing at 5'1, and has a triangular shaped face.
Personality:
Before her parents death, Miranda used to be outgoing, and fun. She was the type who participated in everything. And now, quiet frankly, she doesn't give a shit. She doesn't warm up to people very much, and has major trust issues due to the loss of her parents. She hardly speaks, and when she does, it's usually a smart-ass comment. She likes to keep to herself, and doesn't give a shit about anybody, as she thinks that she is a time-bomb, and will kill that person if she talks to them.
