Why do you want to become a professor? I want to become a professor because I want the experience of being a teacher and I want to inspire students like I was inspired. I want to use my knowledge to help younger people and to teach them what I know.

Why you have chosen this subject? I have chosen this subject as it may not seem like it but it can be very useful in a young wizard’s life so I would be honoured to teach it to them.

Do you have any previous experience in this field?
I have just recently applied to be a divination teacher but because that is taught 3rd year and upwards, I thought I would take on another job which was for 1st years

Role Playing Example(minimum 350 words ; Describe teaching your first class)

Leah was busy putting on her garments, appropriate for this lesson when the students came ushering into the greenhouse – all of them wondering what they were going to do. She stood at the far end front of the table and spoke when the last children gathered into their places around it. “Hello 2nd years, I am Professor Evans – your Herbology professor for this year. This year we are going to be doing more hands on work, now let’s not waste any more time and crack on.” She said whilst handing out weird purple looking onions to everyone. “Now I guess you all think it’s an onion but it’s not. I will give the person who guesses what this is and what it is commonly used in 10 points”
Around 3 people put their hands up whilst others looked around the classroom for any clues but there were a group of slytherin boys not paying attention to what she was saying mucking about in the corner.
“You, blue eyes brown hair in the corner”
One of the boys turned around and pointed to himself
“Yes you, since you seem so interested in this class – why don’t you tell me what the answer is”
The boy guessed “A parsnip”
“Incorrect and minus 10 points from slytherin. What’s your name?”
“Drake”
“A second name”
“Heeley”
“Well Drake Heeley, I guess we’ll be having lots of fun with each other this year” she said sarcastically
“Ok anyone knows the actual answer. Umm, how about you? “ she said pointing at a girl in the red headband who eagerly had her hand up.
“My name is Katie. This is a shrivelfig. When its skinned, the liquid can be drained out and used in a shrinking solution hence the name shrivelfig.”
Leah was impressed. “Well done Katie. 10 points for Ravenclaw. That’s actually exactly what we’re going to be doing today – we’re going to practise pruning shrivelfigs with shears and I’m going to tell you the common features of a shrivelfig so you could notice one if you were in your day to day life” she said whilst giving out the shears.
“So let’s get cracking shall we”
