Family:

Conrad comes from a long line of German purebloods, and as such has many relatives. Many cousins, some second and third, loads of aunts and uncles. However, he only has four first cousins and two siblings. His siblings are both younger than him and for the most part he kept to himself aside from trying to make life difficult for them by convincing their parents they were getting into trouble. Even when he was a kid he took pleasure in making their lives harder, and even when he grew up that part of Conrad never changed.

The four first cousins (also named Dressler because of his uncle Amadeus), are a rather peculiar bunch. They made a game at family parties to try and see who could provoke him until he lost his temper.
For some reason they got a kick out of the danger provided when he finally lost it. Many a party ended with items around him broken, the shattered pieces of them lying about. If they truly got to him, though, it would end with whoever it was in pain. Their names are Ulric (three years younger), Merrick (1 year younger), Zelda (2 years older), and last but not least Sascha (3 years older). His sister Jaye married Merrick, and after much bribing by his parents they finally convinced Albrecht to marry Zelda. Albrecht is a stubborn man, and Zelda's strong and independent nature always intimidated him in addition to her being five years older. Jaye, for her part, went along with it much easier, not wanting to make waves. She always had a way of accepting her lot calmly, something Conrad admired though he would never admit it. It also helped that they were only two years apart as opposed to five. Merrick always thought she was rather sweet, and treats her well. As for Sascha, she is a trained cursebreaker and travels all over the world. Ulric is at the moment working his way up in the German Ministry, and eventually wants to become a member of the wizengamot equivalent. At the moment, he is working as a clerk, recording the meetings of it.

Conrad has made a point of informing his parents if they tried to marry him off to anyone he wouldn't tolerate it. The warning was taken with a grain of salt, as they know he has a keen interest in the dark arts. When he makes threats people know to take him seriously. He has visited places looking for dark artifacts, and Sascha has helped him even though she told him it wasn't a good idea. For one thing it could get her fired if she was ever found to be giving the items away, but Conrad told her in no uncertain terms that he would find a way to make sure that her life would become a living hell if she ignored his requests. For a while she fought him on the issue, at one point even attempting to hex him badly. At that point Conrad made good on his promise and reported her to the goblins she was working for. He told them that she had attacked him without provocation and was, to put it simply, a liability. After informing them he would press charges if she wasn't put in her place, the goblins did just that. Although they loathe wizards, he was the heir to his father Amadeus' fortune, and they could not lose the Dressler family's business. It's been two years since that happened, and only in the last four months has she returned to the field in search of dark artifacts. Now, she sends the particularly interesting ones his way without question. Of all his cousins he respected Sascha the most, which was why he had wanted to work with her in the first place. However, he needed more powerful items than the ones available to him. For Conrad, when it comes down to it he wants power above all else.

Bloodline History: The Dressler family goes back all the way to the 1500's, as far as it can be traced at least. It is likely they existed before that; but, some books of the family history were lost in a fire so long ago nobody remembers exactly when or where it happened, only that whoever recorded the family line from then on had made a not of it. Current existing familial relations. Fabian Dressler's four kids, his father's younger brother. Sascha, Zelda Merrick, and Ulric.

His father's younger sisters Edith and Claudia also married and had children. The three children of Edith have the last name Ackermann. Claudia only had two children, simply known as the Blumenthal twins. Conrad never bothered to learn their names as he only saw them once or twice a year for family get togethers.
