Dare You to Move [Ariadne] Empty
PostSubject: Dare You to Move [Ariadne]   Dare You to Move [Ariadne] EmptyThu Jun 18, 2015 11:30 pm

Arwen had no idea why she was there. She was shaking from top to toe, but she was there even so. She'd woken up, just like normal, and just like normal, she'd gone to the library to do a bit of studying. Sitting there had gotten boring after a while, though, and that said a lot; Arwen enjoyed studying. But not today. Today, she remembered Matthew giving her the flame and the disapproving look on his face when she flinched back. She remembered her fear of heights, and how she didn't find it particularly nice to be around water. She was basically afraid of all the elements. And for some reason, today, she did not like being scared.

So after being fed up with the numerous symbols and the aggravating hardship that was Arithmancy, Arwen slammed the huge book shut, earing a very sharp glare from the librarian, making her blush beet read and look away ashamed, she left the library, fuming. What should she even do? Arwen was bored. She was often bored, but had yet to be bored at Hogwarts. So what did people do here when they were bored? At home, Arwen would run around in their gardens, joking around with her little sister, but now... Maybe she should go and find Seren? Arwen decided against it. Because Seren was safe. Arwen needed to do something that made her feel scared. And that was how the idea formed in her head, dark and looming.

She'd walked quickly out of the castle before she got to change her mind. Her frizzy hair stood to all sides, and jumped weirdly up and down as she continued to walk in that quick manner that Arwen never really walked in. She had to push her glasses up the ridge of her nose several times; they'd somehow gotten a bit too big for her. It could have something to do with the fact that she fell asleep with them on the other day. Arwen growled. She hated her glasses. Why wouldn't her parents just go see one of the healers and get her vision fixed? Seriously, it wasn't even that big of a deal!

The thought escaped though, the moment she'd reached the trees. She had stopped as well. She couldn't walk inside, could she? Wasn't that against the rules? And it was scary enough standing in the treeline. The Forbidden Forest. So threatening and looming so high above her. It was a scary forest. And Arwen didn't think she'd ever dare go in there. She had problems enough following the teacher into the woods during CoMC. Yet now, she was standing there, looking into the darkness like a brave person would. Arwen couldn't help thinking that something was staring back at her, and it sent shivers down her spine. It was too scary! Arwen suddenly turned around then, and her face (with the glasses) hit into someone's shoulder, making her scream in surprise.

Dare You to Move [Ariadne] Empty

Ari was having a great day! She had written all the essays that the horrible professors had assigned, and she had even studied for an upcoming exam that she felt really ready for! So, with her mind exploding from all the studying, she felt that she needed to go outside to let her head breath. After all, it should be the air that should be grateful for her presence! She skipped out the gates, and wondered where she should go. Maybe she should go down to the quidditch pitch and start exploring her athletic side! The Slytherin team really needed help and maybe she would turn out to be one of the better players! Or she could go down to Kota's cabin, maybe the guy could use some amazing company from the amazing Ari! He would really enjoy her she thought. But maybe he was busy taking care of the grounds and such. So what about the lake?! She really loved the lake, and had been going there a lot lately, but looking down at it, it looked particularly empty, and she didn't want to be down in the lake by herself in case the giant squid decided that it wanted her for dinner.

It was then she caught a glimpse of the forbidden forest. It looked so scary this time of night, and Ari was up for a challenge. She started skipping when she thought she was positive about going to the forest. As she got closer, she got scared. But Slytherin's weren't supposed to be scared. Slytherins were supposed to be the scary ones. So why was Ari's heart pounding out of her chest? Not literally obviously, as she would have to go to Mr. Logan if that were the case. But as she got closer and closer, she saw a familiar figure. She had frizzy blond hair and looked to be about a third year. It was Arwen! But what was little innocent Arwen doing near the forbidden forest?! Shouldn't she be in the library or something? Arwen should be glad that Ari was there to save the day!

Ari started running. Maybe Arwen needed help! Maybe a monster was forcing her into the forest and Arwen was too petrified to say anything! Maybe she was being manipulated by a stranger and Ari needed to beat somebody up! Well, she wouldn't beat somebody up, but she would surly go get Matthew who would use his fire powers to help save little innocent Arwen who was Ari's second best friend. Matthew would always be the first. Ari finally got within within hearing range and yelled, "DONT WORRY ARWEN, I'LL SAVE YOU! STAY RIGHT THERE AND DONT MOVE!" There was no other explanation for Arwen to be near the entrance of the dark forest. Arwen was the goodie goodie. The Ravenclaw. Ravenclaws always followed the rules! Well, the ones she met where goodie goodies anyways! But she shouldn't have to worry anymore, Ari would be her super hero. And she should be grateful for that.

Dare You to Move [Ariadne] Empty
PostSubject: Re: Dare You to Move [Ariadne]   Dare You to Move [Ariadne] EmptySun Jun 28, 2015 12:41 pm

Having heard Ariadne's cry telling her to stand still, Arwen looked surprised up at her Slytherin... friend? Yes, Arwen thought of Ariadne as her friend, but the girl was older than Arwen, so she might think she was simply a charity case. An idea that did not sit well with Arwen, but even though she was standing close to the forbidden forest, Arwen would never be brave enough to ask what Ariadne thought of her. Arwen wondered what she'd be doing when she was in her seventh year and Ari, Matthew and Derek were gone. Of course, she didn't really know Derek, but she knew him better than any of her own year students. She'd be completely left alone. Arwen would have to try to make new friends to make sure she wouldn't be alone the last year. And for that to happen, she'd need to be unafraid of talking to people. Arwen had to stop being afraid of talking to people.

"Ari," Arwen finally said, kind of confused, "Why a-are you yelling like th-that?" What did Ariadne have to save Arwen from? Was there anything dangerous in the trees? Arwen didn't think so, even though she had thought something stared back at her, but she easily remembered what Nietzsche had said. If you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you. It might not be quite so literal, but Arwen could feel it, understand the words in a way she'd never even thought about it. She almost felt like a philosopher! Which was a great feeling, but she didn't share it with Ariadne. But then she thought about what Ariadne had said. Did Arwen really need saving? What if something had fooled her all the way over to the forest? How would she know? The fact that Arwen had gone there on her own was rather... unbelievable.

Panic. She could feel the blood drain from her face. "W-what am I d-doing h-here?" she stammered, suddenly unable to move. But she had gone there on her own. After all, Arwen had done thorough study on all the animals possible in the Forbidden Forest. So she knew of every single one of them, and there wasn't one who used mindmanipulation. "I-I walked here o-on my own," she managed, "I was c-curious." Maybe Ariadne would understand. The color was probably slowly returning to her own face, and she felt a great deal calmer. Maybe she could even move now!
