| Jennifer didn’t feel like getting up, doing anything. She rarely felt like doing anything these days. Nevertheless, she did things. She went to work, she looked after Grace, she ate, she slept. It was a strict, simple routine and it never changed. She was a productive person, she could deal with everything she had to do with ease. Yet she couldn’t help but feel completely purposeless and sick of her life. There was nothing to be done. She carried on without complaint. Not that there was anyone to complain to. She had no friends. Her adoptive mother was the only person other than Gracie who she ever saw. Only, now it was the Christmas holidays and no way in hell was Jennifer staying at Hogwarts unnecessarily. Since it was the festive season, a little Christmas shopping might give her something to do for a while. She got up to calm Grace, who had decided to wake up especially early and start wailing hysterically, got them both ready and put her daughter in the pram, wrapping her up in a few blankets to keep warm. It was freezing cold outside. She paused momentarily to wonder if it was really worth it but decided that the pros of actually going out outweighed the cons.
Then she apparated straight to Diagon Alley. Before she got onto buying the presents for people, she wanted a little treat for herself. Eager to get into a nice warm shop, she hurried along the street towards Knockturn Alley and pushed the pram into Borgin and Burkes’.
There was a certain magical artefact she was aware was on sale here, and while she knew it would be expensive, it was worth it. Jen wanted the violin and therefore she would be getting the violin. Now it was just a matter of finding it in the rather cluttered shop. She had difficulty dragging the pram around the place but after a few minutes she spotted the violin in a glass case and leant down to get a look at it. It was looking a little rough but that was only to be expected when it was about ninety years old. Other than that, it was perfect, more than she could have hoped for. She just sat, crouched, admiring it, and occasionally glancing back to check Grace was okay, for the next few minutes. | |

| Apollo walked into Borgin and Burkes with no intention of staying long. He just wanted to see what there was to see. He had promised a little girl named Vanessa to meet her here and buy her something. The kid seemed like a good girl, so he figured why not. He turned aroiund the corner and saw a blonde woman staring at a child. He approached the lady and smiled, "If you would like I can keep an eye on her while you shop." He chuckled and looked down at the child, "She is adorable." |
