History: Phoenix was born in London, England, and he was raised to be a rule-follower and to do well in school. He used to play with his brother, Kellin, when he was young and always looked out for him as Kellin would usually get in trouble. When they were in school, and Kellin became a Death Eater, Phoenix was always there to support him and hid his brother for a long time. When he met Andromeda and married, Phoenix was forced to choose between his brother and his wife, and he picked the woman he would have died for.

When Lucy was born, Phoenix and Andromeda moved to New York, at which point Wade was already soon to turn 1 and Kellin was in need of help. Phoenix risked it by getting his brother away, unknowingly helping his brother leave his son behind. When Lucy turned 8, Andromeda was in a fatal car accident, leaving him a widowed father. He did his best to take care of his daughter, to raise her to learn justice and realism without taking her innocence away at such a young age. When she received her Hogwarts letter, he moved to Cheshire with her so that she could attend Hogwarts and he applied for a position as a journalist on the Daily Prophet. Later that same year, Katherine (Wade's mother) brought Wade to him and asked him to look after the boy because she couldn't do it any longer. Being the softie he was, he took his nephew in.

Phoenix tried to his best to turn Wade from the spoiled brat he was into a respectable young man, but his attempts failed as Wade turned out to be just like his father. Lucy and Wade became good friends with a young and orphaned Ryland during their early years, and eventually he came to spend summers and other vacations with them at Phoenix's request. Later on, he made arrangements to legally adopt Ryland and during his third/fourth year, he was a legal Malfoy. Phoenix found out about Wade's betrayal to Ryland, and has taken very good care of his now werewolf son. He kept lots of steaks and raw meat on the fridge, because Ryland liked to wake up in the middle of the night and devour them.

When Lucy graduated, he spent most of his time working and traveling by himself and with Ryland. He helped her move in to her new flat and on getting used to her new job. He has been to France, Mexico, Norway, Italy, and the United States. When Ryland graduated, and left suddenly and without notice, Phoenix stopped eating. He stopped drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows, stopped sleeping in and going to bed at 9pm. He became restless and constantly worried, and more than anything...disappointed.  He has tried to keep up with his sillyness, often trying to make his daughter laugh, but he still worries about his son. He still works for the Daily Prophet and gets regular visits from Lucy. He is still waiting for Ryland to walk through his door.


Appearance: Phoenix is tall, standing at 5 feet 11 inches, but he’s put on some weight recently so he is no longer fit. He has dark hair, but it’s graying and thinning. His eyes are hazel, but lean more towards a light brown. He has a silly grin and is often found smiling and giving hugs. Phoenix likes to wear everything comfortable, but he especially likes wearing suits because they are fancy and make him feel very elegant.

Personality: Phoenix is a journalist for the Daily Prophet so he's always been kind of silly. He enjoys life and has taught Lucy and Ryland to not dwell in books and fantasies. He is very supportive as a father, but also very strict. He says "No." He means "DAMN IT, CHILD IF YOU GO AND DO IT I SWEAR I WILL GROUND YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE." So Lucy and Ryland know NOT to mess with his rules. He always gets his work together, and he enjoys hot chocolate with marshmallows and caramel popcorn. Phoenix likes pranks, he has a silly side that loves to throw insanely weird parties and jokes and sometimes he says things that only his children can understand. He doesn't understand technology very well, and he is a wonderful wizard. His patronus is a giraffe and he has not remarried after his wife's death because he hasn't found someone he loves enough to spend the rest of his life with. Amortentia, to him, would smell of marshmallows and blue coconut snowcones.
