Andre was so excited, as always, for the new term to begin! He had spent a wonderful summer in France studying the properties of the pomegranate tree! It was truly delightful! He had even brought a pomegranite back for Mademoiselle O'Donnell to try, because if his memory served him correctly, they had once had a conversation about pomegranates before! But he wouldn't see Mademoiselle O'Donnell yet, because his first class was with his youngest students! He would be teaching the first and second years first! "Ah, ze young minds are always ze most refreshing!" Though they definitely weren't the most fun! But Andre loved seeing the look of delight in their faces at the simplest of charms.

He'd made an extra special effort to get to the classroom on time, and beamed happily as he bounced over to his desk. "Why, it 'as been too long! But you look as marvelous as ever!" he greeted the desk, before sprawling words across the board and taking a seat in his chair, where he folded his hands and stared anxiously at the door for his students to arrive.

Serafina walked into Charms. Charms. That sounded fun. She was quite certain they weren't talking about lucky charms and such but still, she was excited. Once again, being the excited first year she was, she sat down in the front, centered with the board.

Reading the board, she saw the word Incendio. She didn't know what it meant, but she was excited. She was practically bouncing in her seat as she awaited the rest of her classmates. She couldn't wait for class to start. She was so ready to start being magic.

Saryana walked to class, excited to finally do spells. Actually do them, not read them from her mum and dad's old subject books. Charms was one of the things that interested her the most - doing spell, jinxed, hexes and so on will be great! She was literally running towards class, even though she knew there was plenty of time until than. But how could she not! It was one of the most interesting and fun subjects at Hogwarts, after all.

She walked in carefully into the room after almost bumping into the door. She really needed to be careful when she runs... Oh well! She greeted the professor as soon as she walked it, slightly freaked out by the way he was staring at the door. She was surprised to see someone at her favourite spot in the classroom, as in her muggle school the front and mostly the front center was hated. So Saryana took that seat, of course! She walked to the girl, happy she was Gryffindor.  "Hi, is the seat taken?" she asked politely. In her family it was important to be polite.

PostSubject: Re: Charms, Term 10, Years 1-3   Charms, Term 10, Years 1-3 EmptyMon Oct 06, 2014 12:00 am

Phin walked into charms. He looked around seeing two Gryffindor girls up front and sighed. He, being the rebel that he was, wanted to sit in the back. Professor Leblanc didn't care, so he didn't think it would matter if he slept through this class. He hadn't gotten any sleep as he was deciding whether or not to get a job in Hogsmeade since he was now a third year and was able to go.

He had heard Aoife complaining about having to take extra shifts at the ice cream parlour and was going to ask her if he could apply for a job there with her. It would be awesome working with his best friend! And now that he could go to Hogsemeade, that made things even better! But since he lived in Hogsmeade during the summer, he knew what to expect.

He brought his attention back to the current class he was in. What was it? OH! Charms with the crazy wood loving teacher. He sighed and looked at the board. Incindio... He had practiced that over the summer and had already almost mastered it. This was going to be an easy lesson.

He was tempted to walk out at that moment and skip. But that wouldn't work considering that the teacher had already seen him walk in, his plan had already failed. He sighed and slumped in his chair. He hoped he would know somebody in the class. That would make it more bearable. Before deciding to take a little nap, he waited around for more people to show. This would be a lame class if he didn't know anybody.

-Lucian out of character note : I have permission to drag Peeves in and puppeteer his actions from Kris-

Halo really did not wish to attend classes his fleshie mother informed him he had to attend. He really, genuinely, did not see WHY he needed to go to a class that she had already taught him the basics of. In fact, even after a howler or two, he still had not intended to go to his first class. Along with the fact there was going to be lots of fleshies, with black sanded hour glasses, possibly some who would die soon or an older fleshie who would have a reaper in there. Five or six more howlers later, a few response owls with the single or two words of No or I refuse, she sent him an owl bribing him. He was rather excited about the offer she gave him to go to charms class. So he would. Along with the next class she signed him up for. He loved the location.

So he was going to a class, his mother taught him the basics of and he was skilled in, despite his lack of interest or motivation to do so. The bribe from his mother did make him happy. Unfortunately for Peeves, the poltergeist made the mistake of trying to be obnoxious to Halo after misfortunately crossing paths with him. Halo had ignored him at first before his eyes turned pitch black and he tackled the poltergeist to the ground. Uncaring if anyone heard the shocked and confused scream Peeves made he stood up.

Tightly gripping Peeves ghostly pants leg he dragged the poltergeist with him. Ignoring the whining and complaining the ghost man made. He went into class. Taking a kicking and screaming, with frantic confused anger and disliking, Peeves into Charms class. Walking to the back of class he sat down and let out a ghostly sound to Peeves which made the ghost shut up instantly. As well as oddly look a few shades duller. Halo sat in the shadowy corner of class and ignored everyone. The teacher did not even interest him at the moment. The twisted little smile he turned slowly Peeves way made the ghost pull from him then sit still.

It was time to go and take few classes now but girl didn't feel like going there but she had to. So she walked towards tge Charms classroom. It was good lesson for surw actually. She understood it well and know much about that lessons spells and charms. She likes to study at free time.

She soon walked into the classroom. She greeted everyone who were there and took seat at free table now. She didn't really wanna sit next to someone. She liked to sit alone. She only sat next to someone if they had to team work or something like that. She now waited lesson to began too. She looked at the board and saw about what they will talk now. She nodded her head slowly. She knew a little bit about it but she didn't plan to say it out loud for now until lesson isn't begin.

Derek was READY for this. After all that studying and reading and practicing, it was finally time for actual class, and he was certain he was going to excel as top of the class! There were a lot of people already there when he arrived, most younger than him, except that weird Hufflepuff third-year. He smiled at Leblanc and glanced around the room. Plenty of weirdos. A boy with a ghost. The Ravenclaw shot him a glare. That was disruptive, bringing a ghost to class. He sat down at the front. Incendio? Seriously? That was only the easiest charm EVER!

Saryana at the end didn't wait for an answer and just sat. She finally looked at the board. Incendio? You must be kidding her! She already knew more then she should about it - from how to say if to the wand moment to everything! She sighed slightly, knowing this will be boring. She took out her parchment, quill and wand. Just than some guy walked in holding Peeves. She couldn't believe it! She ran through her other spells. During that time a Hufflepuff and a Ravenclaw came in. Than took her wand and stood up.

He examined the boy at first. He recognised him as the Haku boy. She didn't know much for him, not that she needed to. She hated his type of boys - ones who thought they were the best and who were dark. Walking towards him, she looked how shocked Peeves seemed. "Who do you think you are, terrorising Peeves like that? I am surprised the teacher hadn't told you anything yet!" she said, staying calm while telling him every everything. She wasn't scared from him - why would she?

Still unsure of how the staircases and whatnot worked at this school, Karasu unfortunately wound up being late.
Well, not late late , but late as in only arriving five minutes before class started. If this school was anything like the ones back home, Karasu knew they'd have to arrive very early in order to get a good seat, and continue to arrive early for at least the next two weeks in order to ensure everyone knew that seat was theirs.
Fortunately, upon their late arrival a seat in the front row corner was still free. Perfect. Front row, because only the smartest should sit there, and Karasu was determined to be at the top of each of their classes. And the corner, because they didn't want anyone to distract them, or sit beside them. To ensure no one sat beside them, they placed their bag on the seat next to them.
Karasu got out their paper and quill, tried to ignore the other students, who seemed to be bickering over something, probably stupid, already. On the board was listed the class, the teacher, and some odd word, "incendio". Eager to learn whatever the heck that meant, Karasu sat up straight in their chair and prepared themselves for the lesson.

PostSubject: Re: Charms, Term 10, Years 1-3   Charms, Term 10, Years 1-3 EmptySun Oct 26, 2014 4:20 am

Matthew was so going to be late! He was usually pretty good at being on time, because he liked classes and it was cool to learn new awesome magic so that he could become more powerful and learn more creative ways to keep Ariadne away from him! But today, he'd slept through his alarm, couldn't find a matching pair of socks, and had gotten halfway to class only to realize he'd forgotten his wand! And he couldn't exactly go to charms class without his wand. It wasn't like potions or herbology, which were pretty boring and didn't involve any awesome or violent spells. Potions could be cool sometimes. Herbology was a waste for the most part. But charms was pretty awesome!

When Matthew got there, he saw that the room was pretty much filled. He was definitely one of the last ones to get there, which meant he was probably definitely late. But, if he was late, the professor still hadn't started class yet at least. Which was great! Of course, Professor Leblanc hadn't seemed very strict last year anyway. Now that he saw that he had some time, Matthew slowed down, his breathing still heavy from running all the way to class. This was great, because it meant he could choose who to sit with! Ohhhh, there was Phin! And Derek! So many awesome people to pick from! There were also a bunch of first years that Matthew didn't know, including some kid clinging onto a ghost. Weird. Matthew didn't like the ghosts, because they creeped him out.

Now how was Matthew supposed to pick between Phin and Derek? In the end, he chose Phin for two reasons. One, he was older and cooler. And two, Derek was all the way up front and that was a far walk. Still, not wanting Derek to feel like he was unliked, Matthew shouted across the room to him from the back. "Hi Derek!" he exclaimed loudly, beaming and waving obnoxiously to his friend before taking a seat beside Phin. "Hi Phin!" he said just as loud, before realizing that he probably didn't need to shout since Phin was right next to him. "Look Phin, the board says incendio!! That's the fire spell, in case you didn't know. I can already do it, but maybe the professor will use me as an example! That would be cool, wouldn't it Phin?!"

Ridley had been late for almost all of her classes already, so she was especially glad to see that no one had begun anything yet as she walked into the classroom. Charms was, for sure, going to be the best class ever! Apparently, all the teachers to it had been great, so Rid was extra psyched. She quickly chose a free seat and took out her things, staring hard at the board after. 'Monsieur', huh? Was that French? Ridley wasn't sure, but it wasn't important once she read 'Incendio'. Since the word was so strange, it just had to be a spell! How cool was that?

Bryana had done quite well so far in arriving to class on time. Just about. And it was quite surprising when she arrived in Charms to see that people were still arriving and the class hadn't yet started. That was nice. She was going to be a brilliant Gryffindor if she kept getting to class on time like this. Maybe her clock was fast or something. It was quite unrealistic that she was so often really early.

Shrugging her rambling thoughts off, she sat down and looked up at the board. Wow, the professor was French! That would explain the beret. Bry was pretty sure French people were cool, so she was almost certain that this class would be fun! She didn't know what incendio was, or what it did, but she supposed that was the whole reason she was in this classroom, to learn. She took out her awesome wand from her bag, ready to cast awesome spells and be an awesome witch!
