Chad turned up at his first lesson of the year actually on time for once. Like usual, he sat behind his desk, pizza roll in his hand, flicking through a particularly boring edition of The Daily Prophet, which talked about some boring Ministry thing which he didn’t give a shit about. There were still a few minutes until the lesson was meant to start, so he grabbed his wand and made some words appear, before returning to the never-ending enjoyment of his pizza roll. There was a tray out on his desk for anyone who wanted one. The wizard children needed to learn about the joys of pizza rolls more than anything else.

Phin was glad term had started. Life with chad was better, but all the man ate was pizza rolls and ice cream. He couldn't look at another pizza roll without barfing. Which was why when he entered muggle studies, and the smell of pizza rolls entered his nose, he nearly gagged. He almost sighed at the lesson for today.

They had watched some super hero movies over the summer. So Phin thought this lesson was the result of that. At least he had bothered to show up for class ON TIME this term. That part was good.

He sat in the middle of the empty classroom, and said, "hey Uncle Chad." His only hope for this class was that chad didn't embarrass him to much like last term.

Victoria was hesitant at enrolling this class at first. Being a half-blood, she knew a lot about muggles and their culture because of her mom. Mrs. Campero made sure her kids were up to date with technology and weird sport events that didn't require a flying broom. How lame. What was the point of watching sports at all if everyone was on the ground? Well there goes the excitement of seeing a member of the opposing team dive and crash into the dirt. Muggles just didn't know how to have fun. But seeing Professor Wilcox's sign up sheet for this class made her hopeful. And he promised pizza rolls! Which is probably the main reason she had signed up in the first place.

Walking down the hallway she realized that she was a bit early for her first class of the day. Well this was a lot better way to start the term than sleeping in and always being late. Which happened the year before and every year before than one. As she had predicted, the classroom was almost empty when she got there. Only professor Wilcox and a tray filled with pizza rolls. Yes, a whole damn tray. And a young Hufflepuff boy she had never met before. "Hello professor", she greeted him with a smile and took a seat in the second row. Her eyes were set on the pizza rolls, not sure what to do about her instant desire to swallow half a dozen of them. After a few seconds of thinking, she had decided they were meant for the students. And if they weren't - well that didn't matter as she was gonna have one anyway.

Skipping to the front of the class she eyed the tray for a second before taking a pizza roll. And then another one. Grinning with happiness she returned to her seat and started munching on her food. "Don't you want one?", Victoria offered as she turned around to face the Hufflepuff boy.

Muggle Studies. This class would be much better than COMC, not only because the professor wasn’t an unbearable geezer, but because he most likely wouldn’t mind if she slept through it, or at least didn’t pay any attention to what he was saying. And if she did decide to pay attention, she was practically muggle herself - it would only be the easiest class ever. So Aoife was sort of looking forward to it, as she walked down the corridor at a reasonable pace for once. Who cared if she was late? Not the professor.

It didn’t matter, she wasn’t late. There were only two people already in the classroom. Plus Chad. Two of her favourite people! “Vicky-Tori! Phinny-Phin-Phin!” she greeted enthusiastically. "Hi Professor Chad." Ooh, pizza rolls! She was quick to grab two and head towards a seat at the back. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to sit by either of the two, it was just that it would be quieter at the back. Anyway, she was sitting right behind Phin so she could still throw scrunched up balls of paper at his back without much difficulty.

Aoife glanced up at the board. Superheroes and villains? Maybe she would be attention! She was a bit of a crazy superhero geek, owning just about every movie ever and having three brothers to fangirl with. So this was a promising lesson!

His nephew was the first one into the classroom, like usual. He was always early and prepared and ready, quite the opposite of his uncle. "Alright Phin?" Chad greeted, paying more attention to the roll than the Hufflepuff. "Ready for total humiliation? I mean, class?" He winked. They'd watched superhero movies over the summer though, so he better not be a nerd and answer every single question and everything.

Then a Ravenclaw girl, who he acknowledged with a nod. She went on to offer Phin a pizza roll, and tuck into her own. She seemed cool. For a Ravenclaw. Next a redhead, the one Phin was in love with. He couldn't help but laugh when she referred to his nephew as Phinny-Phin-Phin. Maybe he'd take up that habit himself. Just to annoy Phin.

Class wasn't meant to start for another couple of minutes, but Chad was bored and had finished a lot of pizza rolls, so decided to start anyway, just as something to keep him distracted from the pizza rolls. He didn't care if students came in late now, he wouldn't take away points. He didn't really care if they turned up at all really. Point was, they weren't going to miss anything important, because this class was shit.

"First of all," he began as he stood up, leaving the wonderful comfort of his chair, "five points to Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff because you all turned up, and you turned up slightly early." NiceChad. He just felt a sense of accomplishment giving points. It was a beautiful sense of accomplishment. "Alright then, name a muggle superhero!" He was making up this lesson on the spot.

PostSubject: Re: Muggle Studies: Term 10 Lesson 1 (ALL YEARS)   Muggle Studies: Term 10 Lesson 1 (ALL YEARS) EmptyWed Oct 01, 2014 6:34 pm

Hunter was pretty sure that he was going to end up dropping half of the classes on his schedule. He'd chosen them at the end of last term, before his life had turned into a depressing shit-fest, and he'd pretty much gone with whatever would be an easy grade, since it was OWL year and he had to do well in whatever he took. He figured it would be great to go to a few really easy classes, sleep through them and manage an O. Though he wasn't really sure how an O in muggle studies was going to help him later in life.

Either way, he was really regretting the decision now, because after everything Hunter had gone through, being forced to go and sit through a class that he didn't even need when he would rather be moping around outside somewhere didn't seem like the most pleasant idea. He'd almost skipped it completely, but for whatever reason he'd ended up dragging himself out of the common room and down to the Muggle Studies classroom. Maybe it was because, subconsciously, way deep back in his mind, he didn't really want to be alone. Or maybe it was just because he was stupid. Regardless, he made it there and pushed the door open to the classroom, stepping inside.

He was late, as usual, and the professor was asking a question already as he made his way to a seat. At that moment, though, the smell of pizza rolls drifted through the room, and Hunter was surprised to find that they actually smelled appetizing. Maybe he should've been eating pizza rolls all this time. Suddenly, he was glad that he hadn't skipped. So, without even thinking about it, Hunter made his way to the front of the room and took a handful of pizza rolls from the tray on the professor's desk. He popped one in his mouth and answered the professor's question while he chewed. "Batman," he said easily, retreating to the back of the room and taking a seat a few away from Aoife.

Phin facepalmed as Aoife called him her ridiculous nickname. Now Chad might have a funny idea that he could call him that as well! He sure hoped not otherwise he would probably kill Aoife. Ok, not kill, but be mad at her.

Chad didn't even wait for more people to show up. When the Ravenclaw girl offered him a pizza roll, he politely told her, "No thanks. I've had enough of those to last me a lifetime." And he really had.

Chad had started teaching, and asked them their favorite super hero. But at that moment, that VanDerberg kid walked in. Late as usual. Phin crossed his arms in disappointment. He was hoping to have at least one class without him. He was hoping he wouldn't sit by Aoife.

And with his luck, he sat far away from her. It was also a disappointment on his part as well because he was still working on getting them together. Phin raised his hand to answer the question and said, "I like Robin. Because side kicks can be cool too."

He would get so much crap for that, but oh well. It was the truth. Side-kicks can be hero's too.

PostSubject: Re: Muggle Studies: Term 10 Lesson 1 (ALL YEARS)   Muggle Studies: Term 10 Lesson 1 (ALL YEARS) EmptyFri Oct 03, 2014 3:44 am

To be honest, Agnes didn't care about Muggle Studies at all. She hadn't been raised with that stupid mindset of wozards being better than muggles, but muggles were so boring sometimes. Except Chasen. He was a very interesting muggle. But he was also an ass so it didn't change her opinion on them in general. No, Chasen was something worse than an ass. Chasen was...he was...an asswipe. Yes. Given, Agnes was purposely late to Muggle Studies. If the professor gave her a lecture on it, she would make his life miserable for the rest of the year. She walked slowly, taking her time to look at the people around and maybe converse with some of the photographs. When she heard the clock, though, she practically ran to her class. There was a difference between being late enough to show a lack of love for the class, and being too late that it was flat out disrespectful.

Finally reaching the door of the classroom, Agnes straightened out her skirt and sweater, brushed her hair behind her ears and took a deep breath. She was not going to look like she had been running. She was going to be very casual about the whole thing. Opening the door, she was faced with the amazing spell of pizza. If there was one muggle invention that should be worshipped forever, it was pizza and everything along that line. A professor handing out pizza rolls? Yes! She walked straight to the pizza rolls, not bothering to see if anyone was judging her, because why would they? Pizza rolls were the best. Then, she took the first seat she saw, on the second row, next to the nice girl from the Feast. Agnes gave her a smile before taking a bite out of her pizza roll and dropping her bag next to her.

Saryana almost ran to the class room. She had totally mixed up her classes, first thinking she had something different, than getting completely lost. Although she couldn't be blamed for the later, Hogwarts was huge and the stairs were confusing. She even asked a ghost she randomly found for direction. She would later find out that she was the Gray Lady but now all she wanted was to get to class. Knocking before opening she slightly worried and panting asked. "Sorry I'm late, professor, I am mixed my program up and than got lost! Can I please enter?" she said, still bring polite. She wondered what her father would say if he found out she was late. Probably a small lecture from his side, she guessed.

While she waited at the doorstep to learn if she was allowed in or not, she looked around the class. She read quickly what was on the board. Superheroes? Was that what they would learn in Muggle Studies? She was thinking that they would learn things from a wizards side, not boring comics and such. This class would be a waste! She than looked at the pizza roles. Pizza roles? Really? She was sure there was no eating in class and yet here was the teacher, giving away free pizza roles! She quietly sighed. She looked quickly around and was slightly disappointed when everyone was older than her. She still didn't get a friend, not that she needed one. She prefers to be a new all her life than be with someone who will want to meet her all the time and talk about useless stuff.

People seemed to be enjoying the pizza rolls. Chad went to grab one for himself before they were all gone. True, he had plenty more but sometimes, when you just saw a pizza roll before you, you couldn’t help but eat it. Because pizza rolls were perfection in a small roll, and he would never be satisfied, however many he ate, if there were more to eat. While munching on it, he listened to the first answer, from a Gryffindor who’d just turned up.

“Good example! Batman. Classic DC. Five points!” Mwahaha, he had so much authority. More authority than anyone else in this room. Suckers.

Phinny-Phin-Phin was the next to answer. Chad shook his head, very disappointed by that answer. “Sidekicks, Phin, are not superheroes, nor are they cool. Think bigger.” No points to his nephew. Really, that boy was letting down his cool, superhero uncle, by going with a stupid answer like that.

Other students looked baffled. Wizard kids, most likely, who wouldn’t even know what superheroes were. Another girl came to the door then, and just stood there. He was glad - it gave him more time to come up with another question to ask. “Come in,” he said, a little bit weirded out by her. Did other professors make the students ask for permission if they turned up half a minute late?

“Now villains,” he decided. “None of those pathetic sidekicks. Real, evil, awesome villains.” He stared at Phin while saying this, trying to telepathically communicate some Marvel villains to him.

Julian was so lost still here. He really had hard times still finding the right classrooms. He had muggle studies.lesson and he wasn't still sure where that classroom was. He soon finded thanks to one girl from who he asked help. He was really glad that she helped him out or he would really had been late for is class. Seemed like that girl was then late too but he djdn't care about it right now.

He walked into classroom and saw it was already began. "I sorry I'm late. I just transfered from America wizarding school this year and now I'm still not familar with castle and I got a lost here," he then yried to ecplain why he was late. He noticed the text on board. He took on piece of pizza and then took a seat somewhere middle of classroom. He really wasn't sure exactly what was topic so he didn't say anything yet.

PostSubject: Re: Muggle Studies: Term 10 Lesson 1 (ALL YEARS)   Muggle Studies: Term 10 Lesson 1 (ALL YEARS) EmptyTue Oct 07, 2014 11:58 pm

"Hey Aoife!", she grinned at the Gryffindor girl as she entered the classroom. If felt good being surrounded by her friends again and not being stuck in that boring house. Even if she had to take the O.W.L.s this year. Her overloaded schedule was partly the reason she had signed up for this class in the first place. Muggle studies was the one thing she could excell at without even trying. She, and the other half blood or muggle born students, had that advantage. How awesome was it that she could pass a class without actually studying for it?

Turning to her right, she saw a familiar girl sit next to her. "Agnes, right?", she asked remembering meeting her at the feast a few days ago. Stuffing another pizza roll in her mouth, she noticed that Agnes was eating them too! Which must mean that she had a muggle parent that introduced her to the wonders of pizza rolls. And pizza in general. "Here, have some more. I am sort of hoarding pizza rolls under my desk. You know, in case they run out", Victoria admitted with a chuckle. She was usually very protective of her food, but Agnes seemed nice enough and she was willing to share.

The topic of the day was superheroes and villains. Victoria was never really into stuff like that, even as a kid. But she knew how to name a few, just from watching the boys in her neigborhood play and argue over who was the best superhero or the most badass villain. "Loki! The asshole adopted son of Odin, god of lies and mischeif", said Victoria answering the professor's question as it was the first villain that came to her mind. Was she allowed to say asshole in class? Probably not - but it was the only way how to properly describe Loki. He was the definition of the word asshole.

Ridley practically burst into the room, spinning on her heels and trying not to fall down facefirst in her new teacher's feet. Oversleeping was appatently as bad an idea as running to class up and down all of Hogwarts' endless staircases. Catching her breath, Ridley muttured something along the lines of "'M sorry I'm late, Professor" and immediately skipped to an empty seat in the back. Experiences in the muggle school she'd attended before had thought her that making a teacher angry first thing in the morning was a bad idea unless she had a death wish, so Rid wasn't excited about trying out the Brits' temper. If they wanted to take points from her house, they would, anyways.

Plopping down in her chosen seat, Ridley took aminute to eye the class and the board. As she'd expected, she had no clue who all those people were, but most of them seemed way older than her, anyway. As her gaze settled on the board, her enthusiasm for Hogwarts came back on full force as she saw what the lesson was about. Superheroes. She was going to ace this class. Also, pizza rolls! This professor was tutrning out to be her favourite already.

Aoife shot a sympathetic glance at Phin when his uncle told him that sidekicks were stupid. But to be honest, sidekicks weren't exactly superheroes so she could see the man's point - he just didn't have to be quite as bitterly harsh about it as he was. She didn't know too much about superheroes, but her brothers and sister had always been huge fans of Marvel and the likes, so she was able to contribute a villain. "Venom?" she offered. That had been Tag's second word, when he was a baby. Her brother was stupid. Enough questions. Could they get on with the fun stuff now?

So these students weren't all wizard, uneducated morons, then. There were a few with a bit of sense, a bit of superhero knowledge.

Chad was very pleased with the first answer to the question. Campero was smart. "Excellent example, five points," he nodded. "Asshole but one of the most awesome villains known to man." In his opinion, anyway. And his opinion was usually right. He took another pizza roll as he listened to the next answer. "Yep, yep, that's great, five points." Venom, not so awesome, but he was a villain and would do fine as an example.

There were plenty of late kids, it seemed, and what was annoying to him was that they seemed to care. "Listen," he said, directing his words to everyone. "I don't care if you're late. Just come in, shut the hell up, don't disrupt the class. Make sense?" It might save him a bit of being crazily annoyed next time.

Right, now down to business. "So for the rest of the lesson and for homework, I want you to do a sort of project," he said. "You need to design your own superhero or villain. Present it in any way you want, as a drawing, essay, costume, verbal presentation, I don't care as long as it's cool and original. You can win up to thirty points for this." So they'd better be good, because otherwise Chad would be bored marking them.

Oooh, a project thing?! Designing her own superhero/villain? Easy! Aoife's mind was filled with all these really cool ideas, but the most prominent one was obvious. As soon as the professor stopped talking, she grabbed her coloured pens from her bag and started her drawing. It was going to be amazing, and it was going to get thirty points, and she was going to win the house cup for Gryffindor.

Saryana sat down at a free table, without anyone to disturb her. Not that it mattered for this class - now she found out that it was a waste of time even coming here. The muggle world wasn't super heroes, it was technology, evolution, science! And that annoyed her one way or another.

When the teacher asked for a villan, only Look came to her. Well, so did doctor Octopus but she wasn't sure for him. Yet some girl said him. She sighed. Look was her favourite villan, mostly because she can sometimes see herself in him. And she didn't want to say another villan besides him.

Saryana frowned at the homework. Make a super hero? What kind of homework was that? She understood if it was English lesson but this! And in a wizard world. She sighed again before taking out a piece of parchment and began to write about someone.
