If You Kiss a Frog, You'll Get a Prince (Open)

Ari was having the time of her life at Hogwarts! She loved exploring the big palace, classes, and making new friends. Her favoritest friend would have to be Matthew, even if he wouldn't admit it, she knew he was, and he would admit it sooner or later. She was just skipping along, when she noticed a frog on the side of the bridge! Her Aunt Evelyn had told her of a tale of when you kiss a frog, your true love will appear in it's place!

She had to try it. But would people think she's weird? It was a muggle tale, and when she went to explain muggle tales to her wizard friends, they usually ended up asking a bunch of ridiculous questions that were quiet simple to answer.

She pet the frog and it jumped into her lap! She sat down on the ground and played with it. She held it up to her face and looked into it's beady eyes. It was quiet tempting. She so wanted to try it. But she knew deep down in her heart that fairy tales where just stories, and stories didn't happen. She had made up thousands of stories and none of them had come true, and she was VERY disappointed.

She sat the frog on her lap, and just stared into space. It was then, there was a shadow hovering over her, and she started to get very insecure.

Elita, in her dark form, walked down the long path to the bridges, there was three of them, but she was very fond of one particular one. She spotted a young girl off on the bridge, her bridge. It was a redhaired, young, probably Muggleborn Slytherin. Ugh.

Elita groaned in disgust as she decided to go confront the girl. As she got closer she noticed she was playing with a frog, what a weirdo. Great, a Muggleborn making us look bad. Usually Elita wasn't picky about blood type, but lately she'd become shallow.

What was she? A first year. This girl had no right being here alone, not when big girls like Elita herself were around. Play it nice, her conscience told her, but deep down, she wanted to scare the shit out of this girl. "What are you doing here?" she replied with a bite in her voice, standing over the girl.

Peeves was bored out of his mind. Nothing interesting was going on. Nothing boring was happening that he could make interesting. He missed the days when the Weasley twins were here. He actually liked THEM. He had yet to find anyone...seriously ANYONE...who came even slightly close to that. He did not like most of the new faculty. The students were boring and too easy to rile up. Or sticks in the mud who got upset over the stupidest of things. Some even ran if they saw him. Where was the fun in that?!

He huffed a bit as he thought about it. Floating around thinking back to all the fun he had when Fred and George Weasley were in the school. As he floated he got distracted by a crooooooooooak crooooooooooak sound. Almost sounded like someone was torturing a frog. Floating to the weird girl petting the frog like it suddenly grew hair and looked at her. "You realize you are too young to molest things right? Also molestation of a frog won't get you brownie points. What are you even doing? Practicing torture techniques?" He asked in a mixture of scathing and questioning.

Though soon another girl showed up. "Maybe I can have some fun after all. She seems to have a butt rash." He said with a laugh. He started to mimic the new girl's attitude and mouth motions.

After a day spent inside the castle, bridges seemed to be a perfect place to go. Fresh air, nice view, if was just perfect for Evan's current plan, which was surprisingly simple: sit and wait. The day itself was quite uneventful, but several important lessons were learned: better stick to walls when a crowd of students is running through a corridor, mosquitoes aren't that bad, and, most importantly, never try human transfiguration when there is no one near to break the spell.

Evan croaked. He did it unintentionally, but felt much better after doing it. The sweet feeling of accomplishment. Basically croaking was a way for frogs to get laid, which definitely had no place in Evan's plans, but for some reason the more frogish he acted, the better he felt. Most likely it was a drawback of being in frog form. Anyway, Evan was really happy that he still had the ability to think like a human (or almost like a human, at least). It could have been much much worse.

After several hours of waiting Evan got worried. What if the spell wouldn't end by itself? How could he asked for help then? Maybe it would be better to jump straight to Transfiguration Professor's office? Suddenly a girl appeared on the bridge. Unfortunately, she was a first year, so there was no chance she could sense Evan wasn't an ordinary frog. Moreover, she was a Slytherin, so there was a possibility she could torture the frog just for fun. Dangerous people, those Slytherins.

The girl picked up Evan and looked at him closer. Could she understand the situation? Probably not. But at least she hadn't done anything bad so far, so Evan wasn't drawing pictures of nasty tortures in his head anymore. He wanted to tell the girl about transfiguration, counterspells, Professor's office, and his dare need for help, but the only thing he managed to do was making a loud croak.

In a minute or so another Slytherin girl appeared, and she looked much meaner than the first one. She was shortly followed by Peeves, who mentioned something about torturing techniques, which made Evan felt bad again. A group of Slytherins and torture talks had never meant anything good. Sadly, all he could do was just wait, look, and croak, so now Evan's life was entirely in that girl's hands. Literally.

Ari just wanted to sit here and pet her new frog when all of a sudden she was bothered. A girl had the NERVE to ask her what she was doing here when she was clearly here first. She caressed her frog and it croaked, she looked at it and set it down on her lap, holding it so the little fella couldn't escape. And before she was about to tell the girl off, a ghost appeared.

She sighed. The only words she could pick out that the ghost said where torture. She said, "NO! I would never torture a little frog! I was just seeing if my Aunt's stories made since."

She turned to the other girl, "Maybe you would like to try it? I could tell you if you wanted?"

She wasn't about to mention that her Aunt said that if you kissed a frog you would get a wart on your mouth. That would make the other girls face look prettier anyways. She was ugly. Ari said, "My Aunt told me of stories about a handsome prince being turned into a frog, and the only way he could be changed back was if a girl kissed the frog."

She waited for their reactions, and hoped the girl would fall into her trap.

When Peeves came up, Elita just ignored him. Usually she'd be just like him, cruel and jokeful, but she wasn't in the mood. She wished he'd just get lost. Maybe it was possible to kill him again.

Elita laughed at the girls explanation. "That is the stupidest thing I've ever heard!" she snickered. Muggles. Noticing something different about the frog, she suddenly had an idea. Taking out her wand she tapped the frog and concentrated on changing it back to whatever it was.

Watching the frog contort in different ways and then grow to a full size boy, amused her. There was no kissing involved. "Here, Muggle stories don't work. Only Transfiguration spells." Elita watched the boy straighten up, was it Evan, that guy Ella hung out with a lot for the paper? No. It couldn't be. He looked a lot different, a lot hotter now.

Directing her question to the boy, she replied, "Now, what would've happened if you weren't found, or if someone accidentally squished you?" she had a gleam in her eyes. The thought of squishing a frog, or any animal grossed her out. e's so lucky she loved animals.

The younger girl mentioned something about muggle tales, and Evan knew exactly what she meant. There were bunch of pretty old stories about a prince (king or princess in some versions) who was turned into a frog, they were pretty popular among little kids. Disney studio also made a really good cartoon loosely based on them, which Evan really enjoyed when he himself was a kid, despite his favorite character, Facilier, ended up dead.

So Evan concluded that the youngest girl was a muggleborn who hadn't been in the Wizarding World long enough. A first year, most likely. How did it come she was sorted in the House of pureblood supremacists? The other girl, however, seemed to be a typical Slytherin: she called muggle tales rubbish, mentioned something about Transfiguration, and then - Whaaat? - she turned him back into a human. But, considering her attitude towards stories which one of Evan's favorite cartoons was based on, he decided to think about the first girl as his savior.

To prove the point of the "better girl" Evan ignored the question that was directed at him and slightly waved his wand, conjuring a crown on his head. Prince time! It probably wouldn't last long, but the whole point of it was blowing girls' minds using the element of surprise. "Never, never underestimate fairy tales!" he exclaimed, holding his head up high and trying to look as royal as possible. "Some of them entertained people long before the first Transfiguration book was written! There is ancient magic in this world and its ways are often unknown!" And to finalize his royal speech, Evan waved his wand one more time and conjured a smaller crown on youngest girl's head. Despite it wasn't her who made him human, Evan decided to make this girl a "princess". Just because the other girl seemed mean.

Peeves looked at the Slytherin first year. "What an odd little Slytherin. Never torture a little frog. Bloody Baron help you if you intend to survive your housemates little frog kisser." he said with a what the hell are you expression. Floating around them and watched the other girl. Mocking her from behind her with his mouth and actions. before floating then standing on the ground by Evan and Ari.

Looking straight at Elita. "You are the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Ignorance is not bliss its more obnoxious than I can be. Before you open your pretty little mouth try to know what you are saying. Otherwise you are just a pretty face and an idiot turd."

Then the now human frog boy spoke. "See frog boy is more intelligent than the slytherin brat. Stupid  brat. You shame the Slytherin house name. Beauty without brains." He rolled his eyes after saying that very obnoxiously and took to floating again.

Maybe he should go find more interesting people to harass. No. He wanted to see how frog boy and his princess girl held up against turd girl. He would stay...for now.

Ari was amazed. Her aunt was 100% right. The toad that turned into a human presented her with a crown and called her princess. She always knew she was but THIS just proved it.

She was ignoring the ghost man and the other girl and starring in amazement at the prince. Her eyes went wide. She asked, "y-your a REAL prince?"

She was so glad she came here. Here she was in a castle, she found a toad, she didn't kiss it, but somebody turned it into a prince! And the fact that he made her a PRINCESS was pretty much the greatest thing EVER. She couldn't wait to tell Matthew, her best friend, and Hunter her one true love.

She always knew she was a princess, but the prince who gave her the crown just proved how amazingly awesome she could be. And that was royalty to her.
