PostSubject: Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife)   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyMon Jun 09, 2014 11:16 pm

Almost instantly after she had plunged the book into his stomach (on accident of course), they had become good friends. More like brother and sister. She had taught him the ins and outs of the school, and whom to avoid and not to avoid. But, then again, there were somethings you just didn't tell a sibling. Outside was Phin's favorite place to be right now, as the weather was perfect for running around, and the sun was always shining.

And there wasn't as many people who were mean to him out there as they were all busy with homework int he library, or in the kitchens or Great Hall eating. And now he was just looking for Aoife. His new friend. And what does one do when one is looking for someone in a big place like this? They ask people in their friends house of course!

There was a black haired boy, that may be in Aoife's year or a year older, who looked rather grumpy and depressed. But he was lonely and needed a friend. So, he went up to the older boy bravely, getting his fists balled up in case he needed to defend himself and asked, "Do you know Aoife and have you seen her?"

Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife)   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyMon Jun 09, 2014 11:49 pm

Hunter was in a particularly bad mood when he woke up that morning. In general, he'd been feeling a lot better - at least, he felt like himself most of the time. But then there were those days where he just felt like ripping someone's head off for no reason at all. Hunter hated those days, and so did everyone around him. This was one of them. So, to occupy his mind with something other than irritability, Hunter grabbed his advanced potions book and headed out to the courtyard.

The Felix Felices potion that Hunter started was nearly done. It had to brew for another day before Hunter could add the final ingredients. Then, with any luck at all, the potion would turn a bright gold. If it did, then Hunter had successfully managed to brew himself a bottle of luck - not that he needed it now. All the luck in the world wouldn't do him a damn bit of good at this point, unless it could send him back in time. But still, like Seren had said that one day, luck could never hurt.

Glad to see that the courtyard wasn't too crowded - and most specifically that it didn't contain a certain red haired person whose presence Hunter didn't have the patience to deal with today - Hunter sunk onto a bench, threw his feet up on it longways, and opened his book. He needed to double check that he only had to stir the potion twice that evening. While he was in the middle of skimming the pages, he was interrupted by someone approaching him.

A half-glance up from the text told him that it was a small boy - probably a first year - with his fists tightened as though he was ready to punch someone at any second. Yeah, well, join the club, Hunter thought bitterly to himself. His eyes flicked back down to his book before answering. "What do you need, kid?" Hunter said in an uninterested tone, not bothering to look back up at him. There was a time when Hunter would have smiled and introduced himself - maybe even shown the kid where to go if he was lost. But not today.

He expected the younger boy to say that he was lost, or to ask about a teacher maybe - easy questions that Hunter could answer without paying him any attention at all. But when the boy spoke, Hunter's head snapped back up instantly. Did he know Aoife? It was almost humorous, when Hunter realized that he didn't have the slightest clue how he was supposed to respond. But only almost. "No, I haven't seen her," he settled on, his voice cold. "I didn't realize she was relying on first years for company now," Hunter added with a humorless laugh, turning his attention away from the kid and back to his book. "How do you know her, anyway?" Hunter couldn't help but asking.

Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife)   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyTue Jun 10, 2014 4:47 am

Phin was a little offended when the older boy cracked the first year joke. Yes he was a first year, but so what? Was he really that bad? Obviously this boy knew Aoife... Otherwise he wouldn't be acting so hateful towards her. She really was lovely. Not in the romantic sort of way, but in a best friend sort of way.

Living in the world of a Hufflepuff was awesome! Everybody was so nice and fun! Why couldn't every house be like that? Then the world would be a much better place he thought. Yes... He liked this idea. He would write a strongly worded letter to the headmaster about it. It was a longshot, but hopefully it would work! He and Aoife could probably put together a petition! It would be so much fun! He hoped she didn't mind that he chose Hufflepuff because she was in Gryffindor...

Then he realized he probably had this stupid look on his face. The look he usually got when he was thinking of something obviously highly intelligent. So, he decided to answer the kids questions. He said, "first off, I am perfectly good company thank you very much, first year or not. And secondly, none of your business. I just thought you might know her since your in Gryffindor. What's your problem anyways?"

Where was this coming from? He normally nervously backed down and ran away and hid. Maybe the sorting hat was wrong and he should've been in Gryffindor. Aoife would've been proud!

Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) Empty
PostSubject: Sorry this is suckish I'm posting from my phone at work :P   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyTue Jun 10, 2014 3:28 pm

Really, it was just Hunter's luck that he would wind up being pestered by some irritating first year - about Aoife no less - on a day when he his temper was so short. This was why he needed his potion to work. At the very least, maybe it would allow him to go through an entire miserable day without anyone bothering him. At this point, that sounded like the best luck could do. It was a pathetic expectation, but right now it would be welcome.

And of course, Hunter hadn't gotten one of the typical first years who ran away the second an older student looked at them the wrong way. No,  this one had to go on about how he was actually very good company for a first year. "I'm sure you are, " Hunter said, not really paying the kid much attention for fear that his temper would snap. If Hunter was being honest,  the kid reminded him a little of himself as a first year. Hunter was always the first one to run up to someone and start a conversation. And look where it got him. This kid should learn now that it would get him nowhere.

Hunter sighed and slammed his book closed and looked up at the sky irritably when the first year kept going on about it. Turning his gaze on the boy, he felt his temper flare slightly. "Well,  I do know her," Hunter snapped. "Much better than you ever will.  And I told you that I haven't seen her. " Seriously,  what else did this kid want from him? What was his problem? "That's hardly your business,  is it?"

Phin pushed his chest out to look all cool like in front of this obnoxious Gryffindor. He really was being a git. And he said he knew Aoife better than him? That maybe so, but it seemed like they weren't friends anymore. So, he crossed his arms prepared to defend his little sheep loving friend.

She hadn't told him the story with this bloke. If something had gone wrong between the two of them, if it had been romantically, she deserved way better. And if not, she still deserved better. This idiot was a git. Who may have deserved to be put in Slytherin with the way he was treating Phin. Phin didn't like this guy one bit.

PostSubject: DID SOMEBODY SAY AOIFE O'DONNELL?   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyTue Jun 10, 2014 5:47 pm

Now that she'd decided she didn't care enough to deliberately avoid Hunter anymore, Aoife was free to go outside, roam, enjoy the warm sunshine. Who knew? Maybe she'd even feel better after some time relaxing out there. It wasn't like she'd talk to anyone, nor would anyone talk to her. She tied her hair up in a lose ponytail and made her way downstairs out to the courtyard.

It didn't take her long to notice the short, not-floppy hair. Immediately she made plans to retreat, forgetting her plan to not be a coward and just face everyone. Maybe the lake would be nice on a day like this? But then she noticed another familiar face there. Her little friend Phin, interacting with HIM? Oh, no, she had to go ahead and be his knight in shining armor. She had to save him from that gruesome company he'd landed himself with. HE wasn't pretending to be nice, it appeared. Not much of a surprise. She couldn't hear what was going on, exactly, but that face wasn't hard to read.

"Having fun bullying first-years?" she called from the other side of the courtyard. After a moment, Aoife gained the courage to make her way over there, just for Phin's sake. "I mean, you're obviously too much of a coward to, just to enhance the cliche saying, pick on someone your own size." It was her and Phin who were the most recently subjected to his grumpy, bad-tempered nature. Both of whom were smaller than him.

She shook her head, mocking disappointment.

Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife)   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyWed Jun 11, 2014 3:55 pm

A sharp voice floated across the courtyard, and when it reached Hunter's ears he froze. He dropped his head into one of his hands and closed his eyes, willing her to just call her stupid little first year friend over to her and go away. But no, she had to cross the empty space between them - what had Hunter ever done to deserve this? "I'm not bullying him," he retorted when she was close enough to hear, keeping his head resting in his palm so that he didn't have to look at her. He didn't want to look at her, because he never knew what kind of reaction he'd have if he did. And considering how bad his restraint was today, it was definitely safer to avoid eye contact.

But then she had to go and call him a coward. At her words, Hunter raised his eyes to her - because he wasn't a coward. If he was, he would have never had the courage to ask Aoife to go out with him in the first place. So maybe being a coward would be better - but Hunter wasn't. The moment his eyes locked on her face, he wished that he hadn't. She looked so - normal. Like she would if Seren had just made some snide remark to her and she was sending an insult back. Like his best friend. Nothing like the broken girl that she'd given him a glimpse of the other week. And Hunter wanted so badly to give in under her gaze and apologize. That or pack up his things and retreat to his dorm and not come out until tomorrow.

But Hunter couldn't do either. Because he was a stubborn git. "Pick on someone my own size?" Hunter repeated a bit incredulously. "Did you really just say that?" Aoife's size had never put her at a disadvantage, and she knew that as well as he did. "And I'm not picking on anyone. Your little first year friend asked me if I knew you. I told him that, unfortunately, I do, and that I haven't seen you. It's not my fault that he feels the need to defend you, or whatever the hell he thinks he's doing by standing there looking at me like that. Though he shouldn't waste his time considering you hardly appreciate it." Because how many times had Hunter defended Aoife when Seren and Blake insulted her? Too many times. And what good had it done him? None.

When Phin heard Aoife's voice from a crossed the courtyard, he felt relieved. At least he didn't have to talk to the git of a Gryffindor boy anymore, and Aoife could handle it. But as she came over, the conversation grew more intense than before! And Phin didn't like it when people fought! That was a big no-no in Phin's book. Well...his mum's book anyways, and he still lived by it like the bible.

As Aoife started defending him, he kind of snuck behind her and hid. This was not a good thing to witness. Obviously there was still a lot of stuff Aoife had yet to tell him. He knew she wouldn't want to tell him right away, but he would lead up to it eventually. Obviously this other kid didn't like Aoife and she didn't like him back. And he suddenly wondered why. So he bluntly asked, "What is going on here?" He had to stop hanging out with Gryffindor's and learn to keep his big trap shut.

Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife)   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyThu Jun 12, 2014 7:38 pm

Now that she'd made her little speech about Hunter being a bully, she didn't know what else to do. Her courage was gone now. Aoife almost found herself regretting coming over here. But she couldn't leave Phin here with Hunter. Nobody deserved that unpleasant company, least of all her little Hufflepuff friend. Still, she wanted to grab Phin's arm and pull him away. Then they could go somewhere nicer. That would be cowardly, though, so she bit her lip and stayed frozen in her spot.

"Yeah, it's cringy, I know. But it suited the situation, y'know? Because he's so little and can't really defend himself too well?" She seemed to be talking at a stupidly high speed, maybe because of how nervous just being here made her. How much nicer would her soft comfy bed be?

Unfortunately he knew her. Phin was wasting his time because she wouldn't appreciate it. Aoife stared at the floor for a moment to regain her confidence and hold back either tears or a furious outburst. She could never even tell anymore. "Thanks Phin," she smiled, rather than responding to Hunter's little talk filled with insults and hurtful stuff which Hunter should keep to himself. Then she kneeled down to give Phinny-Phin-Phin a hug.

"By the way, Phin, this is Hunter." She lowered her tone to a whisper, hopefully quiet enough that only he could here. "Not a nice person. You should just stay away." He'd probably come to that conclusion already.

Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife)   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyThu Jun 12, 2014 8:17 pm

After her initial exclamation, Aoife seemed to be unsure of how to proceed. It was strange, really, how each of them was handling the situation - while Hunter attacked his frustration by acting like a git and trying to get a rise out of Aoife, she seemed to withdraw into herself at the sight of him. In Hunter's opinion, both reactions were completely unexpected. Who would have ever thought that he would be the one to lash out, and Aoife the one to hide? Nobody. But that was what was happening.

When she did talk, Hunter found himself clinging to every word she said. Because for once, she sounded normal - well, sort of normal, aside from her words spilling out of her mouth so fast that Hunter had to struggle to keep up. But still, it felt as if she was talking to him, like she used to. Maybe, if Hunter just responded normally, they could just forget about everything that had happened and move on from this point as though nothing had changed.

But Hunter didn't respond normally. At first, he didn't respond at all. He was too busy looking at her and trying to understand. Was she nervous? She seemed to be, but Hunter still couldn't wrap his mind around the idea that he could possibly make her nervous. No matter what he'd done, he was still just him. What did she think he would do? Rather than trying to come up with another snide remark to hurt her feelings, Hunter just said, "Right," in a quiet voice in response to her explanation. "Well, he doesn't need to defend himself against me," Hunter told her with a shake of his head, hoping that she would understand that he hadn't been causing any trouble for the kid.

If only she knew how badly he wanted to retreat. Instead, he just opened his book again and flipped absently through the pages, just to give himself something to do. Once again, his insult hadn't invoked anything from Aoife but silence. And the torn look on her face, along with her lack of retaliation, sent a wave of guilt through him. "Look, I didn't mean that," he said with a sigh, running a hand over his now-short hair. It still felt weird. He wasn't apologizing for anything - but at least he could lessen his own guilt a bit by taking back that one sentence, right? It wasn't unfortunate that he knew her - it was just unfortunate that it had come to this.

When Aoife bent down to hug the annoying first year, Hunter rolled his eyes a bit and went back to his book. Then, Aoife was "whispering" to the kid about how Hunter wasn't a nice person. For some reason, the situation brought an amused grin to his face. "Why do you even bother trying to whisper?" he asked her, not looking up again from his book. "You've never been much good at it." It wasn't meant to be an insult - it was something he would have said to her before. He really shouldn't have said it, since he was supposed to not be speaking to her. Too late now, though.

Aoife introduced him as Hunter. He had heard something that happened with Aoife and Hunter in the charms class they shared. Didn't she throw a chair at him? He didn't really pay attention to that stuff, but since it was Aoife they where talking about, he paid a little more attention.

He was just working up the courage to stick up for Aoife because of all the mean things he was saying to her. His fists balled up a little bit as he hid behind her. Yes he was in Hufflepuff, but sometimes he thought he was in Gryffindor. So, with out even paying attention to what Hunter was saying, he lundged at the boy.

He wasn't sure where this was coming from, but it was almost like he was bit by a spider and turned into Spider-man without the awesome spider powers. He kicked and punched Hunter in all the places he could reach. Nobody talked about one of Phineas's friends like that. Especially when he was present.

PostSubject: HUNTER YOUR POST WAS TOO LONG   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptySun Jun 15, 2014 10:42 am

Aoife continued to just stand there awkwardly, listening to Hunter. Why didn't he sound angry? He was talking quietly, then almost civilly. He was talking to her, wasn't he? She shrugged. Maybe he hadn't been in full AngryHunter mode when he was just talking to Phin, but before long he would be showing his evil side and the poor little Puff boy would be scared. Then he'd need to at least try and defend himself.

Oh, he didn't mean it. Obviously he meant it, just like all the other things he'd said and done. He was doing it deliberately and he meant every single mean, petty little act of cowardice and immaturity. She was thinking about a sarcastic remark, but then she saw him run his hand through his hair. Short hair. Aoife flinched. "You can't do that anymore. It doesn't work with... short hair." It hurt her inside to say those words about Hunter's hair. But maybe she just needed to face the facts.

The next cruel insult didn't really sound much like a cruel insult. It sounded like the sort of thing he might used to say. When she liked him. She tried not to let the confusion show on her face at his remark. Weird. "I could whisper if I wanted to!" she protested. "Anyway, it wasn't like you heard anything you didn't already know." Because he obviously knew she hated him for being an evil git.

"Look, if I-" She was cut off by the sight of Phineas lunging for Hunter. It was absolutely hilarious. She couldn't hold back her loud laughter. He was such a little cutie, punching and kicking like the world depended on it. She could beat Hunter up herself if she really wanted to, of course. But Phin defending her was much preferable. She hoped Hunter didn't hurt him trying to get him off. If that git did, she would break his neck.

Should she try and stop Phin? Be responsible? No, it was too funny.

Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) Empty
PostSubject: Re: Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife)   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptySun Jun 15, 2014 8:45 pm

It was so strange to see Aoife look so uncomfortable in his presence. She didn't look uncomfortable around anyone - even when she was around Seren, who so obviously hated her, she made herself completely at home. So why did she seem so thrown by the fact that Hunter was talking to her? Did she expect him to be mean to her for the rest of his life? Hunter had finally decided that it would take far too much energy to do that. If they weren't ever going to be friends again, what was the point of him bothering to cause Aoife trouble? He'd already done that, and it hadn't done any good.

He saw her make a face as he drew attention to his hair. The corner of his mouth turned up a little at the irony of it - of course, Aoife would still care more about his hair than she ever did about him. But at her words, Hunter just shrugged a bit nonchalantly and nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I've figured that out. Habit, you know?" Really, Hunter had already started to miss his old hair. He'd cut it once more since the first time, just out of principle, but was pretty sure he'd let it grow back in over summer.

Hunter looked up at Aoife as she replied, saying it wasn't anything he didn't already know. "Why'd you bother whisper it then?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. Aoife was starting to say something else, and Hunter was listening, but whatever she was going to say was cut short, because the little first year - who Hunter had honestly forgotten was even with them - dove out from behind Aoife. And attacked him!

Hunter flinched a bit at the sudden movement, but after realizing what was going on, he just stared incredulously at the miniscule first year as he started punching him - this little kid was actually trying to fight him! The idea was completely ridiculous, enough that Hunter couldn't help but send an amused look in Aoife's direction at the situation. She was already laughing as though it was the funniest thing in the world. Wait, he wasn't supposed to get along with Aoife. It hardly mattered when there was a first year clawing at him, considering that his punches hardly hurt - that was until the stupid first year actually managed to clip him in the face with one of his tiny fists - that did hurt a bit. "Alright, that's enough!" Hunter exclaimed, standing up and attempting to swipe the kid off of him with his arm. "Well, I didn't exactly expect that from a Puff."

PostSubject: Re: Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife)   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyMon Jun 16, 2014 9:07 pm

Phineas was in the zone. He was punching and kicking and hoping that he was beating this sore loser of a Gryffindor up and making him want to cry to his mummy. It wasn't until he heard him say, "That's enough." That he actually realized he wasn't even hitting anybody at all. DRATS. There goes his chances.

And what was that he said? He didn't expect that from a puff? That was just what he expected from a Gryffindor. He hated how the Hufflepuff house was always criticized for not being super smart, or brave, but Loyal and compassionate. Much like a golden retriever. Did he really just compare himself to a dog? Way to go Phineas. First he failed at beating up a second year, and then he compared himself to a dog...He knew this day was going to be terrible. And now he just proved it.

He looked at Aoife to see her reaction, and she was smiling? Why was she smiling? Now he had made a complete fool of himself. Maybe he was meant to be a Hufflepuff...

Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) Empty
PostSubject: NO MUSEEEEEEEEEEEEE   Looking For Aoife (Hunter and Aoife) EmptyTue Jun 17, 2014 7:55 pm

Every word Hunter said about his hair felt like a dagger in her heart. This was definitely another method of torturing her, this cruelty of showing off his new, short hair. Even though he was nodding as though he actually agreed with her statement about how he couldn't do that anymore. Aoife shook her head slightly, but didn't respond because it would only make her feel worse.

"Uh... maybe you were meant to hear it?" It sounded more like a question because it was the first thing that sprung to mind. "Or because I have a..." *coughcoughcough* "... sore throat." Yeah, that was it. A sore throat. So she had to whisper so that it didn't get worse.

Unfortunately, Hunter quickly got Phin away from him, stopping her laughter and amused expression immediately. He just had to ruin her fun, didn't he. Her little Hufflepuff friend carried on punching and kicking the air, even after he'd been shoved off. "Nice try, Phin," she smiled to maybe comfort him a little bit. "With some practice, you'll be an awesome fighter. But maybe you should stick to magic." A wand was a useful weapon if you knew some spells.

Hunter had to have his witty little comment at the end. Aoife rolled her eyes. "Hufflepuffs are awesome. You should know not to underestimate them." Lyrette Lyn was in that house. And unless he thought of his little sister as timid and easily scared (which maybe she sort of was) he had no reason to hate badgers.

Hunter's amusement concerning the situation had disappeared pretty quickly. Thankfully, he had managed to dislodge the annoying little first year without actually hurting him. He reached up to rub his face where the kid had hit him, glaring at him in a way that dared him to try again, and stayed standing in case he got any ideas. "I guess she's already rubbing off on you," he said irritably, referencing the fact that Aoife also reacted violently when things didn't go her way. "But you might want to consider not doing that again."

Because Hunter wasn't in the mood to deal with annoying first years punching him and acting like they owned the place. And he would probably never be in the mood. So this kid needed to back off. Especially now that Aoife seemed to be done laughing about what was going on and was giving Phineas her attention. Hunter rolled his eyes and started to gather his things while she told him some rubbish about how he'd be a good fighter eventually. "Yeah, sticking to magic might be good advice." Mostly because Hunter was a failure at magic, so if the kid ever wanted to get one up on him it would have to be with his wand. But he had a feeling he wouldn't need to worry about either for a while.

Hunter gave Aoife a pointed look when she told him not to underestimate Hufflepuffs. "Well, most Hufflepuffs are a little smarter than that, to attack somebody twice their size." She should know that he had nothing against Hufflepuff as a house, considering that Lyn was in Hufflepuff. "Oh yeah, that reminds me," Hunter said, turning his gaze back on the annoying first year. "Stay away from my sister." How had Hunter forgotten to add that? "Both of them."

Sister? His sister was in Hufflepuff? Wait...there were two? Phin didn't know any of Hunter's sisters he was sure. Of course, he didn't know Hunter's last name. So...he either knew them and didn't know it, or didn't know them at all. Now, he was just confusing himself...First, he compares himself to a dog, then a failed fight, and now he was confusing himself with his own thoughts. Way to go. How many times was he going to say that? If he had ten galleons for every time, he'd be rich probably.

But then they both said, "Stick to magic..."

Magic...duh... why did he even attempt to use his fists, when magic would send the poor useless boy to the hospital wing with a single spell. Now what was that one they learned in class the other day? Expelliarmus? YES! THAT WAS IT! So, taking the own kids advice, he took out his wand. Swish and flick. Those where the movements they where taught!

And with that knowledge, he pretended to walk away ashamed with his head down. When he got part way, he knocked Aoife to the ground, and yelled in Hunter's direction, "EXPELLIARMUS!"

That would teach that Gryffindor NOT to mess with a Gryffinpuff!

WELL. That sounded very like an insult. And he had no right to insult her, being the git that he was. "Excuuuuuse me," she muttered moodily. "Phin is naturally violent, it isn't from spending time with me." Aoife wasn't even violent, was she? It was just his stupid self coming up with stupid insults because he wasn't very smart.

Then she was shoved roughly to the ground. By PHIN! And he was blasting a pointless spell at Hunter. "You do realise that's the disarming spell, right? And Hunter isn't holding a wand?" Yeah, although violence certainly wasn't his strong point, it seemed his magic knowledge wasn't completely up to scratch either, so really he had no chance at all against someone like Hunter, however stupid the older boy was.

Aoife wasn't in the mood to be pushed around and to watch petty fights like this, so without words, she stood up and walked off. They could deal with this themselves.

Wait, what the hell was even going on? Hunter watched in confusion as the weird little first year pushed Aoife to the ground. "What the hell are you doing? Get off of her!" Hunter exclaimed angrily, forgetting completely that he wasn't supposed to care about Aoife. But honestly, this kid was on his nerves. Who did he think he was? And why had he knocked Aoife over? Hunter was too busy trying to figure out what he was playing at to notice the kid take aim with his wand.

He turned his attention back to Phineas when the kid shouted some spell - expelliarmus? Really? Hunter was once again stuck between being severely annoyed and slightly amused, because he wasn't even carrying a wand. So nothing happened. Hunter rarely had his wand on hand, and when he needed it, he would dig inside his bag for it and hope that he hadn't broken it by not taking any care with it at all.

"Nice try," Hunter said irritably, rolling his eyes and shouldering his bag. Aoife was leaving, and Hunter didn't care to sit in the courtyard and be used for spell practice by this annoying child. "You might want to practice a bit more," he said snidely to Phineas as he walked past him, and then broke into a jog so that he could get up to Gryffindor Tower as quickly as possible.

Well...that was a fail. Phin hadn't been studying his spells very much, and forgot that that particular spell was a disarming spell. And that git didn't have a wand, and he couldn't think of any more spells at the top of his little head. He glared at Hunter as Aoife walked away.

He wanted a rematch. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, but he would get his revenge. He would make the Hufflepuffs proud of him for beating a Gryffindor in a duel. He might even make his father proud of him if he tried hard enough.

As both Aoife and Hunter walked away he glared at Hunter's back and whispered, "I will have my revenge. You haven't seen the last of Phineas Button."
