| Hunter VanDerberg - First Year Aylee Walters - Fifth Year
Time: Spring, 2027
If there was anything Aylee hated, it was losing a book. It had happened to her a few times before, although she usually found them in the end- under her bed, somewhere in the living room, in Kynan's room, sometimes on top of the kitchen fridge. Either way, she always tried hard not to lose sight of her books or she usually freaked out. But this time, she was really freaking out. After going through her Christmas presents again (with the additions of Lyrica's and Elita's presents), she noticed that Lucy's book present was missing. She must have left it in the Great Hall after the Christmas Party and have forgotten it. At the thought of it, Aylee felt guilty because 1) she actually lost a book and 2) it was a Christmas Present from someone! It was kind of like a disgrace, to lose a Christmas Present on the day you received it. That day, she stayed behind after lunch, pretending to be finishing her sausage sandwiches with sauce. After checking to make sure that not as much people were left (some few students here and there eating), Aylee proceeded to the side of the hall, pretending to mind her own business. She was really looking out of her book. Something and Parks, I think, she thought, trying to remember the title in case she came across it. This thread is closed to Hunter VanDerberg.

| Hunter was starving! He had to stay after in transfiguration to talk to the professor, and by the time he escaped the room his stomach was growling. Hopefully there would still be some food left from lunch! Rushing through the transfiguration courtyard and into the castle, Hunter quickly wove his way through the corridors toward the great hall. The smell of food made him grin as he stepped through the large doors. He took a seat at the end of the Gryffindor table and instantly filled his plate with some beef and potatoes, scarfing them down quickly. When he finished, he was one of the last people in the great hall. As he made to stand up, he caught sight of a familiar face - Aylee - wandering along the side of the great hall.
That's strange, Hunter thought, raising an eyebrow. Curiosity getting the better of him, he decided to go say hello. Swinging his legs over the side of the bench, he wandered in Aylee's direction to see what she was up to. "Hi Aylee," he said brightly as he neared her. "Erm... What are you doing?" Most people just left the hall when they were done eating.

| Sometimes glancing under tables, Aylee was still walking around and searching for the book. The Great Hall was almost deserted now and she should probably be leaving for class. But she might just forget about it if she left there and then someone else might find it. If I could only remember the name of the book, I could just use the Summoning Charm... she was telling herself and then trying to remember the name. Something and Park, something and Park... come on, that shouldn't be hard should it? She was rubbing her forehead with the palm of her head and trying hard to remember the name when a voice got her attention. She almost jumped, then turned around to see who it was (almost afraid that it would be someone like Kynan or Ryland, but it couldn't be because their voices were too familiar) and came face-to-face with Hunter. "Oh, hello, Hunter!" Aylee smiled, a bit too brightly, at the young first-year. The same first year who she managed to sneak out of Hogwarts and into Hogsmeade.
"Nothing, really!" she lied at Hunter's question, although her voice seemed a bit too over-happy which usually gave the whole lying thing away. And anyway, Hunter wasn't dumb. But she still went along with it. "You haven't seen a book anywhere, have you?" she asked in a casual way.

| Aylee had wandered along the outside of the great hall a bit before Hunter had managed to catch up with her. His voice seemed to startle her, and when she turned around she was acting a bit strange. Her smile seemed a little forced when she said hello. Hunter raised an eyebrow skeptically at Aylee when she said she wasn't doing anything. She was obviously up to something - she was acting pretty strange. Then, she asked if he'd seen a book anywhere.
A book... Well, he'd seen lots of books, but not one that hadn't belonged to anybody. Not that he could remember, at least. "No, I don't think so," Hunter replied, shaking his head. He tried again to remember coming across a book anywhere, but he was sure he hadn't. "What book did you lose?" Hunter asked her. Because it was obvious that she'd lost whatever book she was talking about, even if she was trying to act like she hadn't. "Did you leave it in the great hall? Maybe I could help you find it!"
