A little R and R...

It was winter out but Zip didn't mind it too much. Right he was all bundle up and cozy in his winter clothes. He had never really experienced snow when he lived in South Africa so was mostly new to him. He had walked out this morning and after seeing how much snow was out there had rushed indoors to put his winter gear on. Rushing back out it was still snowing and after wiping a bench off sat down. He watched it snow and stuck a hand out and watched the snow fall on it and melt. He stuck his tongue and caught snow on it and laughed. He listened to the stillness of the snow as he sat there.

Darcy wanted to go out in the snow, and did just that. She looked around and saw a few people around. Not anyone she knew, though. Which might be a good thing; she was still very fond of meeting new people, even if she had met a lot of them, and quite a few of them had been somewhat rude to her. She shrugged and saw a guy sitting on a bench, his tongue out to catch the snow. She grinned.

Darcy started to walk over to him and then a big grin spread on her face. She stooped down and grabbed some snow and pressed it together. A snowball. She grinned even wider and aimed at the guy. She had made sure the snowball wasn't harsh at all, and she threw it underarm. She grinned as it flew upwards and then made a bow in the air, falling towards the guy.

She then, as the snowball was still in the air, regretted that she had thrown it, looked around, and wanted to hide. Sometimes she was so stupid! She looked a bit anxiously at the guy as the snowball fell towards him, hoping he wouldn't be mad.

Maya made her way over to the middle courtyard, her homework in tow.  Her face was set into a grim scowl. It was Christmas time and she didn't feel like spending her time off indoors trying to finish off assignments. As soon as Maya realised it was snowing outside she had grabbed her coat and gloves and made her way outside. If she couldn't enjoy it she may as well be out in it she thought disparagingly to herself. Maya looked up from her work, knowing that it was going to take more than the weather to motivate her to finish the essay. Sighing to herself as the chill began to seep into her and her cheeks were rosy with the cold she began wondering if it was a bad idea venturing into the cold after all.

Maya spotted Darcy a slight distance away approaching a boy she didn't know with a smile on her face.  Maya laughed loudly after she seen her firing a snowball at the poor innocent first year and the conflict that had arisen on Darcy's face was priceless. To be honest Maya was surprised that she had it in her.  Maya immediately got up and dumped her books to one side, rolling a big snowball in her hands and hiding it carefully behind her back. She made her stealthily over to Darcy.  "Hey Darcy!" Maya greeted in an overly chirpy tone. "That wasn't very nice." Maya continued, trying not to laugh. "Someone has to stick up for the first years!" Maya declared as she produced a snowball from behind her back and fired it at Darcy and then proceeded to run in the opposite direction, being hindered by her fits of giggles. Look at that, Maya thought, she was the unlikely protector of the first years!

Zip was not expecting it when a ball of snow came from the sky and crashed on his head. Standing up abruptly he looked around and saw two girls. One was throwing a ball at the other and was running away and girls were heading for cover. Zip smiled and then dove for cover behind a tree. This must be some sort of game and Zip kinda liked it. Throwing balls of snow? Brilliant way to spend time outside. He gathered up some snowballs and waited. He glanced around the corner watching for anyone.

Aislinn was walking through the school grounds when she saw Darcy, another girl and a boy throwing snow. Despite the fun it looked like they were having, she tried to steer clear of them. She disliked having things thrown at her, especially snow.

Her long blonde hair flew behind her as she stuffed her hands in her winter coat. Her cheeks were flushed red from the cold and her breath swirled up as mist in front of her. The soft snow lightly crunched beneath her boots as the three other students laughed nearby. Deciding to watch them, she sat under a nearby tree, not close enough to get hit, and pulled out a book.

He was looking for a target but couldn't get to any of the girls and then all of the sudden another girl came out of the castle and sat on a bench. Perfect. She was not expecting of anything and Zip decided to take the chance and threw a snowball high. He pointed his wand at it and said Wingardium Leviosa and made it float high above her and then he let it go and watch as it hurtled downward at her. He chuckled at her and waited for it to hit her.

As a snowball hit Aislinn, she gasped and looked for the culprit. Standing up, she slammed her book shut and walked over to the obvious boy, he was laughing, dead giveaway. "What is your problem?" she inquired. He was lucky that he was charming or he would've had it ten times worse. She noticed he was a young Hufflepuff as well, like she.

Darcy looked innocently at Maya as the girl walked over, though probably not good enough at hiding her guilt. This, of course, vanished instantly as Maya threw a snowball right in her face. "Maya, you..!" Darcy exclaimed, and stooped for a snowball and threw it after her, but it hit a tree instead. She started laughing then, feeling really happy, and looked at the guy on the bench. He had hexed a snowball himself and made it land on a girl, who obviously didn't seem overly happy with being hit.

Darcy frowned, unhappy for the guy, but then picked up a new snowball and aimed it at the guy. She then got another and threw it at Maya, and then a third was aimed at the girl, hoping she'd join the came. Darcy was, however, careful to avoid the girl's head.

"Bring it on, people!" she then shouted, "SNOWBALLFIGHT!"

Maya stumbled while laughing to herself as she watched a snowball fly past her and hit a tree. She hid behind the tree, taking cover from any more snowballs and the onslaught that might ensue, depending on how hard she had hit Darcy. Maya peered around the tree and watched as the Hufflepuff threw a snowball at another girl. She didn't seem too pleased though, may as well make her join in. Maya scooped up another snowball and threw it at Aislinn, just as she was engaging in conversation with the Hufflepuff. As Maya was bent over and making a pile of snowballs for some ammo something really cold hit the back of her head. Oh it was on now! Maya scooped up a few snowballs firing them in quick succession at Darcy, hoping some would hit its target as she was giggling excessively to herself. She was starting to become extremely glad that she wore gloves as the cold seeped through the material and she felt as if she was slowly getting frostbite.

Zip shied away when the girl stomped towards him. "I-I'm sorry I was just having fun and thought you wouldn't mind. Please don't hate me," he said worried. He didn't have much time to think before he was hit in the side of the head and was knocked off balance. He was now torn in-between having fun and trying to calm this girl down and it was a bit annoying.

She crossed her arms and looked at the stuttering fool who was trying to apologise. He was strikingly beautiful but the fact that he just pounded her with snow made him less attractive. "So you say sorry? Well I do not wish to join in your fun, I was attempting to read a book." Her face glowed red from the cold and frustration. Slowly, she began tapping her foot, waiting for his reply.

Zip didn't know why but the girl was a bit cute when she was all flustered. He had no idea how to respond but he figured he better or else she might get even more nasty then she was already. She was a bit intimidating already. "I said I was sorry! What else do you want to to do?" he said shaking the snow off his head.

"I want you to pay for your mistakes peasant!" Aislinn said through clenched teeth before laughing. "I'm just kidding, I forgive you." she smiled and held out a hand, "I'm Aislinn Umbridge and you are?" She noticed him from around the Hufflepuff common room but never actually had the chance to get his name until now.
