| Your Full Name: Grace Eersteen
School where you graduated (Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, ...): Hogwarts
Subject you are applying for: Flying
Why do you want to become a professor? I wish to share my passion with my students to teach them and hopefully learn from them as well.
Why you have chosen this subject? It is my passion and what I am best at.
Have you applied for any professions yet? No I have not.
Will you be able to post 1 to 2 lessons/month minimum? Easily.
Do you have any previous experience in this field? I did very well in flying while I was at Hogwarts, played and was captain of the Hufflepuff house team, and played professional quidditch for a short period of time.
Role Playing Example(minimum 350 words ; Describe teaching your first class)
Grace woke up early that morning and headed out to the quiditch pitch. She summoned her broom with a flick of her wand and did a couple of quick laps around the field before her class. She landed gracefully as ever, it seemed she hadn’t lost her touch. Outwardly she was completely calm and in control, this contrasted greatly to her real feelings. She as a bundle of nerves, her stomach a knot filled with ice. She took a deep breath and walked over to where her students were beginning to meet for their first flying lesson.
They all looked so young to her now, her first year students. She remembered it fondly, her first year at Hogwarts, everything was so new and fascinating. She looked over the students, it seemed they had all arrived. “Good morning everyone, I am Professor Grace Eversteen, and I will be your flying professor. You may call me Professor Eversteen, Professor Grace or simply Professor or Miss if you wish. Before we begin I will let you know that my office is always open to you should you ever need anything.” She cleared her throat and let a stern gaze fall over the class. “First, some safety rules. You will do nothing in this class until I have instructed you to do so and have blown my whistle. I realize you may be excited, but if you do anything except what I have asked or are doing it when you shouldn’t be or are not paying attention while I am giving instructions…” She shot a stern glace at two first year girls who were talking and giggling excitedly, “I will give you detention and deduct points from your house. Flying is a wonderful thing and by the end of this class you will not only know how to fly but the basics of qudditch. These are fantastic skills and things I love dearly, but they can also be very dangerous. I do not want to see any of you end up in the hospital wing.”
She cleared her throat and smiled warmly. “Well, now that that’s out of the way, let us begin!” Pulling her wand out of her cloak she gave it a flick and in an instant brooms laid on the ground in two neat rows. Her own broom was already in hand. “First we shall be learning to call our brooms,” she placed hers on the ground simply beside her. “Simply place your right hand over the broom and say ‘up’. Do so firmly and in command. I shall demonstrate first and then we’ll have your organize yourselves into two lines facing each other beside the brooms here.” She did just as she described, stepping up to her broom confidently, she held out her right hand. “Up!” Her broom found her hand in an instant and she grasped it firmly.
“All right,” she smiled warmly, “it’s your turns now. Do nothing else except what I have described unless you wish to earn yourself a detention.” With that, she blew her whistle signalling the students to do as she described.
